bizzel Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 I just found out today that I've been accepted into Durham university to study software engineering! It's the only university I'd really fallen in love with so I'm really looking forward to going there in September even though my gap year job has been great so far. Who knows, maybe one of you is running the network I'll be using next year.
Sylv3r Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Just along the road from Durham university - feel free to pop in and have a look around if you fancy it sometime.
webman Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Also near Durham, you'll love it up't North!
Edu-IT Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Well done! I'm off to study Forensic Computing in September, not at Durham Uni though. I am starting to have second thoughts about this though.

Joedetic Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Welcome to the world of further education. You're gonna love it. I'll leave it up to you whether that was said without a hint of sarcasm lol. I got my results back from semester1 yesterday to find out that I failed maths by one point. I now have to pass all my modules this semester with decent enough grades or I'll have to resit an exam in august *sigh*. But yesterday I also found out that I got an A in my "LAN Switching and Wide Area Networks" case study and passed CCNA3
john Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Saying you'll love it up North is one thing, all I will say is rememebr your woolys as you will need them as its bitterly cold up north
witch Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Well done -my son (currently on his gap year) has just been accepted to do engineering geology at Portsmouth Uni- so I am looking at it from the other side. I have friends with children at Durham and they are very happy there It is cold though!!!!
thesofa Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hmm, more blooming students clogging up the bars drinking a half of lager and blackcurrant for 3 hours You will need a warm fleece up here. You will not need so much beer money as long as you stay away from the trendy pubs in durham. Which College? I was at Mildert in '67
apoth0r Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Congratulations buddy, all the best for the future!
