Popular Post X-13 Posted December 9, 2016 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2016 This title is obligatory, right? Providing I don't completely donk this up, and the paperwork comes through, I'm now officially out of Education. I say "officially" because I've still been applying for education jobs. Just had an offer come through for a first-line support role. Still waiting to hear back from another one, but I doubt I've got it, and I've got an interview on Monday (which I'm still going to) but I think that's me done. I'm probably going to still be about, you lot aren't getting let off that easily. 39
localzuk Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Glad to hear your search is coming to an end! Don't be a stranger... Edugeek ain't just education any more. 2
DJ-1701 Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 This title is obligatory, right? Yes, whenever a highly intelligent individual is leaving a planet, institution or realm, it is obligatory to use that phrase. Just had an offer come through for a first-line support role. Finally! Congratulations! Still waiting to hear back from another one, but I doubt I've got it, and I've got an interview on Monday (which I'm still going to) but I think that's me done. Still, all the best! I'm probably going to still be about, you lot aren't getting let off that easily. Good, it wouldn't be the same without you! 2
elsiegee40 Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Well done X-13. It's good to hear you'll soon be back in work. Don't leave it too long between visits... and there's Saturday at BETT ... 1
X-13 Posted December 9, 2016 Author Posted December 9, 2016 Good, it wouldn't be the same without you! You joke... But I'm pretty sure I broke a few people with memes after I joined. 2
Bompalompalomp Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 You'd better stay, there needs to be at least one person here with worse taste in anime than me... 3
X-13 Posted December 9, 2016 Author Posted December 9, 2016 You'd better stay, there needs to be at least one person here with worse taste in anime than me... I don't even watch that much anime any more... 1
korifugi Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Good to hear that you're back getting paid for sorting other people's I.T. Muppetry - even if it is a slightly different flavour. Don't be a stranger though (although I will admit to not being able to think of many more much stranger) - we still need your meme-y goodness here. 2
bossman Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 All the best for the future @X-13 Happy to see that your finally getting sorted, pleased your staying with the IT crowd as you would create a huge void in the universe, "Live long and prosper young man!" 1
hardtailstar Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Congrats! As everyone else has said stick about, we want you to stay! 1
ICTDirect_Dave Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Congrats and good luck! Come see us at BETT and stay around on here. 1

Popular Post googlemad Posted December 9, 2016 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2016 First line support role eh? "Hello...I've got a problem with my PC" "Right I'll just put you through to second line..." Job done 9
sparkeh Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 You did inform them that you need a month off for Stocktober right? Good luck 2
Popular Post Garacesh Posted December 9, 2016 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) You've been busting your hump trying to land yourself work for far too long, glad you finally received an offer! You'd best not be leaving us.. I need other people to derail so it isn't always me.. (In my defence, I don't purposely derail.. I'm just usually involved in excessive thread drift.. ) Edited December 9, 2016 by Garacesh 7

difinity Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Congratulations, I know the frustration when job hunting. I know since you appeared on Edugeek it's not been the same, there's been plenty more memes and colour 2
VeryPC_Colin_M Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Congrats Mister @X-13. The Private sector's gain is the Education sector's loss. 1
stevejp Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Congrats, and good luck - you were the first person to welcome me (albeit in your own unique way...) when I joined edugeek, and it has been frustrating to have read about your trouble in finding work - well done, sir! 2
X-13 Posted December 9, 2016 Author Posted December 9, 2016 you were the first person to welcome me (albeit in your own unique way...) when I joined edugeek Whaaaat... That can't be right. Then again 12,546 posts [HOW MANY?!] in a shade under 6 years [HOW MANY?!], with the past couple of years really toned down. Le EDIT: 12,547 1
