Seriously, thanks to @foofighterjim. I keep toying with the idea of going Prime, but I'm never sure that it's worth it as I can generally make up a carriage free order. Might give it more thought at this price.

Just cancelled mine, hoping to get the offer of £59 but otherwise I'll sign up with a new email and get it. Won't be naughty and just go for a new email each month and trial 30 days each time.

I took advantage of this offer a few years back and have renewed ever since. It is well worth it as you also get access to the Amazon music library too.

Admittedly, it's not a concise as some others, but to have free Prime postage, Prime movies and Prime Music it does work out at quite a good package for the money.

I just don't like that it is an annual payment rather than monthly. For Amazon this makes sense though as they get a 'chunk' rather than a 'dribble' of cash from subscribers each year.

That's just for Music. If you want the whole package you still have to pay the lump each year.

Although I do notice that now they have divided Music into two sperate packages now (they used to have just the one).

A Prime subscription 'only' gets you two million songs where as full fat gets you 40 million.

Seriously? There are 40 million songs out there!!

I suspect that this less useful with the launch of their new streaming service. Certainly the first couple of bands I checked were only on Unlimited.

If you "cancel" your now TV you can often get it half price for a few months, it's worked for the last 3 times with us at least (We're only on the Entertainment package). Go through the cancellation process online and it should offer you some deals!

I normally scour the web for deals, I got 4 month movies for £25 at Argos last time but most of the time I forget and it renews at full price.

Thanks for the heads-up. Last time I looked the monthly subscription was restricted to just a couple of items. I'll have to wait for renewal time before I can take advantage of this

I like prime. The Mrs gets it half price as a uni student

 

The kids use it loads and us occasionally. Good for Mr Robot and we were half way through watching the Walking Dead on sky box sets when they took them off. Luckily prime has them all.

 

There some exclusives and of course the grand tour. Not ventured into the music yet but overall worth it.

 

I've also just started a Amazon drive sub - glad we provide internet connectivity at work - and have a bit of spare upload bandwidth. Up to a terabyte of data uploaded now

very different experience to mine amazon seem to be about the best courier ive dealt with i just wish they would give something more than a day so say morning/afternoon/evening as ive had stuff delivered at 9pm before lol

Where we live is obviously at the end of any route they plan for deliveries as the orders i make (especially same day ones with estimated time of between 6-9) tend arrive at 9 or even later sometimes!

You can end your membership early, get a partial refund, and then sign up straight away again with the new offer. You will most likely need to get Amazon CS to do this for you though.

In my case, I had took advantage of this same offer last year. It auto-renewed yesterday at the full price, but I was able to cancel it online and sign up again immediately at the offer price using the same account.
