  1. 1. Do you want us to book you a seat at the table?

    • Yes, I'll do my best to be there
    • Sorry but no. I'm helping Santa's elves that day

I hadn't responded yesterday, but it is a definite no from me ... in a school doing an install today so not getting back until late, and a mountain of work to get covered off before the break. :-(

I've decided my Christmas jumper needs an airing tomorrow:) The train is due in at 12:20pm subject to whatever disruption SouthEastern and South West Trains can come up with of course.

My train buddy has dropped out :(.

Same caveat as before, but I'm planning on the 11:47 that is due in at 12:39.

Thank you all for your well wishes and thoughts. I've been told my mum is on the road to recovery and got to see her, it looks like she is going to be spending a few more days in there, though I am hoping she will at least be out for Christmas. In the mean time I'm taking over responsibility for a few things including their animals, so my dad can spend time with her in hospital. Unfortunately this does rule out Salisbury for me tomorrow.

Again, thank you all for your support, and I hope that we get to meet at some point in the new year. In the mean time, have a fantastic time, this is the season for friendship and family and you all deserve the very best.

Sorry to hear that; hopefully she will be out for Christmas.

I'm glad to hear your Mum is recovering. Your problem is likely to be forcing her to take it easy when she does come home; she's probably worrying over mental lists right now :(

I hope you all have a good Christmas and I'm sure there'll be a 'next time' for Edubytes South-Central as long as @witch hasn't turned us all into frogs for cheeking her :D

Thank you to everyone who came to the first (of hopefully many) EduBytes South/Central/Kent meeting.

A really enjoyable day where we started talking shop, went on to family and pets, had some lunch, covered death and taxes before going back to talking shop and swapping funny tales (although no-one IMHO beat the dead nuns problem :) ...)

Safe journey back, lets do it again soon

Andrew

Yes, thanks for the hospitality. Food at Hungry Horse surprisingly decent (or mine was). Nice to meet everyone, but I'm awful with faces so if I bump into anyone in the future, please forgive od I don't recognise you!
