    1st and 2nd stage recycle bins are a joke. I had to restore half a SharePoint once and it took 2 days of searching for the correct deleted files. Even after this we still missed some because we re structured our SharePoint. From my understanding, with restoring of SharePoint data, they restore it in one lump only and it over writes any existing data which is not all that clever. The point of backing up Office 365 is that if you get a ransomware attack, or the data is removed unknowingly, you don't loose everything and you can have a longer and legal retention over the backups. (Most users have the SharePoint sites synced directly to their devices). Believe me, iv done my research, and the major competitors out there know why they are doing this. Did you know that SalesForce are no longer providing backups from August/September of this year!

    Yer I can understand you totally. Iv had pricing from all 3. Druva is the cheapest per GB. Schools IT budgets are a joke I find as everyone feels everything should be free and cheap. Probably why everything in schools brake. (Worked in two)

    Its not rocket science guys... I'm not here for technical or asking how to set anything up... I'm just asking a plain and simple question of, how have you got on with the 3 products listed. But it does not matter now as I'm trialing them, so ill get my answer that way.

    He understood it clearly..... Just for info, with most cloud based systems, you dont need on site kit to do anything.

"Hi everyone, Situation: We are in the process of purchasing a backup solution from one of the providers; Source of backup: for our Microsoft Cloud based solution. (You have two options, m365 which is Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, One Drive or Azure which we have 0 VMs and would like to back up Blob but you can only do this as a whole file. So we are avoiding this.) To either: Druva, RedStore, Acronis (Which if you don't know how they work, or never used them, don't comment. These are based in AWS if you really have to know but most providers are hosted in AWS anyway.) Main Question: Has anyone on here had any experience working with these (The above products: Druva, RedStore, Acronis) Sub Main Question: and what are your personal/professional opinions. (With those products : Druva, RedStore, Acronis)" Hope this clears things up.

    I do know how Backups work mate. I'm a bit confused why your asking me this. Druva, Redstore, Acronus all use AWS as a platform. I use m365/Azure as my platform. All 3 use a web based control panel with 0 software install on an endpoint other then the connector to your m365/Azure estate. All I'm asking as per post one, has anyone used those products and what are there thoughts.

    Wont go with Veeam as there solution they provided me was so all over the place and bitty and their pricing, well, so cheap I dont even know if their product does what I want it. I asked for a live demo and it went all dead. Iv got no time for a provider who has no time to sell their product to me.

    Well those 3 providers are all in AWS, so it would be from Said places above (Sharepoint, OneDrive, ExchangeOnline, Teams, SalesForce) from m365 to one of those providers. There is no restore fee so that's all good as that's only applied if you use Azures Blob Storage. We have 0 VMs, 0 on site server/backup kit. Everything is in cloud. - - - Updated - - - Have you used the Web Interface yet? We don't want agents on the machines. (we can if needed)

    Have you seen the pricing concepts from Microsoft? The backup solution is for Exchange Online, One Drive, Teams, SharePoint, Salesforce - retention 5/6 years.

    How have you guys setup the storm controle for the number of packets? How many packets have you set and for which section.

    Some of the fetures that required the USG have been removed and are now in the latest controller and device firmware upgrade. They can now do DHCP Relay with out the use of the USG and more. More less L3. This is with the old kit too.

    Im sure they would need to be GDPR as they want to sell to EU. Even after the UK is out of the EU the UK would still have to enforce GDPR.

    Thats roaly cheesed me off.... Didnt even see there were gen2 versions of this switch. Already purchased the Gen1 switches and have them installed and running. Wish they showed all switches on their website on the US and UK sites.

    I was under the impression via the website and via your setup it was. oh well So on that note, im going to bin off the Edge 48port POE switch. Shame my technical sales expert didnt tell me this. I have another issue anyway, the muppets who installed the cab installed the smallest one on earth. I might get 2 x US-24-250W or 2 x US-24-500W as I can then manage them via the Cloud Key Gen 2 and I can actually get them in the cab. we have up to 20 POE devices that could hang off this unit so max POE for the phones will be 4.1W each so 250W POE+ switch would be iteal.

    How about the ES-48-750W ? It says its Layer 3... Failing this ill use the PFSense Firewall/Router.

    Nice How many of the switches do you have and which ones? Also I like the look of the cloud controller as even though the setup is for AWS, I can still do this for Azure. My only concern is that you always need a connected internet line in order to manage it. Im not entirely happy with this especially for on site kit for testing etc... Ill think about it, although it is a grate idea.

    How long have you had them for? How busy is your network/traffic. How hot are they? I need them to be 24/7 solid. I know some people say switches are solid and then you find they dont tell you about the small issues they have and the times they have to reset them at night. I cant afford anything like that.

    We have 0 servers on site. We are all MS Cloud Azure AD/365 etc... So any VMs on site would be very much impossible tbh. The controller is curently on my work Laptop which is not helpfull as I dont have the software on most of the time.

    Hi guys. Have any of you used Ubiquiti Network switches like the Edge Max ES-48-750W or the Unifi US-48-750W or equivelent. If so how reliable are they? I already have unifi APs on site, and I will be getting the Cloud Key Gen2 Plus along with the Cloud Key G2 Rack Mount Accessory for hosting the controller and managing the APs via the internet via the cloud access that I have setup. I want to deploy some new switches that are POE+ 48port and manageble for my vlans and intervlan routing. Has anyone got any thoughts on this. I only need 2 swithes. One at core, one for a room. Both 48port POE.

    What I did in the end, was I used MSI Package Builder Professional. https://emcosoftware.com/msi-package-builder/download All works now... But I need to remove the old drivers as this BSDs the machines.
