how do you hard reset the APs? Ruckus told me to just put the pin in for 20seconds and thats it. They they said that as long as the ruckus ZD has DHCP, we can find them again.

They are all static. All have IP/Subnet/DNS into staticly assigned to them.

Ruckus were on the phone and they look lost lol.

Hi, This afternoon I changed the untaged VLAN1 port on the actual AP its self to VLAN5. I changes the ruckus ZoneDirector to vlan 5. Now I am unable to see any of my APs. I have been changing the VLANs on the switch to untagged vlan 5 or tagged vlan 5 but to no avail. Also I have changed everything back. Still nothing. All the VLANS coming to the APs as standard were all Tagged VLANS running over the native VLAN5.

I have a problem and im lost... my Ruckus APs are not talking to the management box even though they are on the right VLAN and Trunk. >.<

Hi, Does anyone on here know of a script that can be used to role out a pre configured Group Policy to a new network? I would like to make one of my current system and then role it out if it dies. May add in there an AD structure too lol.

The only difference in configuration is that before, it used to just send a static access VLAN. Now it sends a trunk to that switch that is powered over Ethernet.

Hi, I have an issue. My Cisco switch is currently powering two other non cisco managed switches. They have been working fine for over a year now, until now where I have just reconfigured my Cisco 2960s. The Cisco 2960s powers up my two non cisco switches and then after a few moments, it then drops all power to them both and lights up the port orange from yellow. If this is a configuration issue that the cisco switch just does not like, then I'm stuffed as I need to get onto these two small switches in order to configure them. Any ideas? I have a trunk going to both of the small switches with only 3 VLANs going to them.

Hi, in group policy, I am trying to find the firewall policy to add an allow list of new IP ranges so that I can allow traffic for my new network. I know that ESET Anti-Virus which I am trileing at the moment has a place to do this as I have done it already and it works fine. Please advice.

ok, I need to disable the default VLAN1, and assign the switches with a new one. I need a switch management VLAN on a non-internet based IP range i.e., 192.168.*.* with minimum of 7 IPs I need a CCTV VLAN that is on my 10.85.8.*\24 range. - (Needs internet access) On my 10.152.18.*\23 range: I need a Network Domain VLAN with 255 IPs. - (Needs internet access) Printers VLAN with a minimum of 7 IPs with some room for expansion. - (Needs internet access) Phones VLAN with a minimum of 26 IPs with room to take it to around the 30 IP mark. - (Needs internet access) I was thinking about a Guest Wi-Fi VLAN with something like 50 free IPs but after doing some research I don’t think I can have the Domain VLAN and a Guest WiFi VLAN running alongside each other over the Ruckus kit we have. - (Also needs internet access) With the VLAN numbering, any suggestions? Yes, we unfortunitly have a filtering system that needs to be on a perticular IP/subnet range which sucks. If had it my own way, I would have 10.152.*.*/21 range or somthing. Then I could use a 10.152.16.* for lets say printers, 10.152.17.* for CCTV, 10.152.18.* for servers, and alike.

Hi chaps. Next week I am reconfiguring my network of 4 Cisco L2 managed switches. As I have the latest updates, I can use one of these switches as a L3 switch for intervlan routing which is awesome. (extra bandwidth) Now, what I am trying to learn is what is best practice/recommended for VLANing. I am going to have the domain on one VLAN, CCTV on another with two different subnets/ip ranges. I know that you should disable VLAN1, have a management VLAN for the switches and alike, but should I have the management VLAN on its on IP range or should I include it on the domain VLAN? If its on its own IP range, then does the router need to know about this IP range as well? becouse if it does, then im stuffed. Also my ISP have stated that I should only use the two ranges I have been provided so that they can access the internet. Can I not use other IP ranges for domain/device VLANs like for printers, wireless and alike as well? I really could do with being in a room right now with a couple of CCNA people, with a big white board and pens, so I can show them as a drawing what I want to achieve and then let them educate me as to what I need to do lol. I am willing to phone people and talk over the phone as well and learn.

Hi everyone, I am in the process of configuring QoS for the very first time in my life on our Cisco 2960s switches. Is there anything you would recomend I do or is a must and is a industry standard. Throw your book at me for everything I need to know as I know nothing of QoS other than how it is supposed to work over how it is configured.
