Suppliers of Computers/Server/Projectors Needed

Good Afternoon All,

 

Looking to get some more suppliers in on this years quotes and wondered who else people are using? Added the normal of the guys on here I can think of, but sure I'm missing loads

 

It's a combination of Desktops/Servers/Projectors/Core Switches etc so needs to be someone reliable (rather than a little outfit as leasing etc involved)

Have you every tried Millgate Computer systems.

Millgate, BT Business, ICT Direct, Dell Direct - Premier are my normal suppliers. I also deal with Transact, but I wouldn't really recommend them as they are quite aggressive. I also often buy projectors through CCC/Schoolcare as they come up with really good prices. AV I tend to buy through CPS group.

Can't recommend Stuart enough, awesome supplier. He isn't one of these suppliers who feels the need to ring you every five minutes to sell you something. He also did the school a huge favor with a recent school trip to Cape Town. They company donated two laptops and a bunch of other bits for the school we have links with. If you do contact him mention my name, it means he will buy me a coffee next time he is allowed out of the office!

For projectors I use ProjectorPoint always very helpful and responsive , they will not hassle you either

I used to use SoftCat, but I got cold calls pretty much every week, and spam emails every other day from someone called Jordan and I won't have that.

Unfortunately I have had similar experiences as this with SoftCat in the past.

 

In terms of who I go to for quotes for PC's/Servers/Projectors/Switches, In the past we have used Ergo to do our Server virtualisation project and they also did our Switch project last summer (supply and configuration). Alongside this I always speak to Mark @Haptic , Colin @VeryPC_Colin_M , and also speak to Stone and Viglen.
