clockend25 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Got an email saying they've wound down their Trade arm the other day. Referenced another supplier I use who'd obviously been purchasing through them, and suggested I use Misco in the future.

localzuk Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 "Best" is a very flexible term... I'm a fan of IDN Supplies (Speak to Paul Topham), and Softcat (Mica Lisk). I also deal with Millgate, but its pretty rare that they're competitive on price (sorry guys).

Yes I know there are plenty of account managers who'd love to 'quote us happy', but in reality I can't be bothered to phone up a salesman/register for a credit account (just to see pricing) when all I want to know is how much would 1 specific cable cost including shipping. That's why I like places like Misco/BT Business Direct/eBuyer. You can see prices straight away! 1

Personally, I find it quicker to lob an email at a few trusted suppliers and see what they come back with. Unless time is particularly short, I usually check out a few places online while I'm waiting for their reply... which did result in buying a couple of iPads from John Lewis on one occasion(!)... and then go with whatever is cheapest if the suppliers won't match what I have found.
