I thought the same when I first saw it. It's easily the best looking electric car under ~£30k IMO.

The minimal interior with the large LCD is really nice too.

https://player.vimeo.com/video/161138986 psst it was yesterday, what makes you think its a let down? Same performance as the previous versions for half the price?

11:50pm last night :p Let down as in April Fools, rather than letdown as in spec haha

Hopefully not looks awesome, just seems too good to be true, if you read a few websites say it includes things like Self Driving etc

interested to know what the actual UK price will be.

A wild guess, but a starting price somewhere in the region of £25,000?

($35,000 = £24,481.17 + £4,896.23 VAT @ 20% - £4,500 government grant = £24,877.40)

the autopilot is already out, if your not familiar with tesla they are already doing everything they claim, auto drive, auto park etc this is nothing new for them just at a reduced price now they have the economy of scale, my concern is the interior build quality may suffer, but we will see, I'm definitely interested. The world needs more Elon Musks. I really think they are making all other car manufacturers look quite silly with their backwards attitude with regards to technology, the top of the range features of say a BMW all come standard on the new Tesla. oh no I get that haha :) Just on that price point, including range etc etc compared to any other electric car currently available.

Will be cool if they do, just seems odd such close timing :)

OMG, At least that screen is a bit bigger than that silly thing they have on A and C class Merc's.

I guess it is head Up display as well because I ca't see any dials.

But yes def prefer one to a Prius and not much difference in the cost probably.

And you can't do this in a Prius

Brill :-), I have jus started a lease on a car already got this in mind for it's replacement.

With Skoda Lane Assist you need to keep your hands on the steering wheel, if you let go for 10 seconds the system cancels it self. Might actually give that a try over the weekend but I am going to keep my hands very near the steering wheel and not looking anywhere but the road ahead.

ive said it before i will say it again touch screens in cars are a stupid idea. Lets replace easy to use without looking dials/sliders/switches with a re configurable screen with no physical feedback like you get with a big round contro/button/toggle. A screen like that is to me just barking mad

But the important question is,.... can it play angry birds?

What about Carmageddon? Won't need the screen obviously.

I was a big Need for Speed fan myself in it's early versions :-) . Used to play rally driving games a lot like Colin McCrae and vRally, if I got it right it was awesome but most of the time ended in some huge crashes, not what I'd do in real life I hope :hand:

The steering wheel setup in the Tesla Model 3 — seen above in a shot from the media event last week — is not the version that will be in the final car, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said tonight in a series of tweets.

Instead, the "real steering controls and system" for the Model 3 feel "like a spaceship." Musk went on to say that the lack of a traditional dashboard and instrument cluster "will make sense after part 2" of the Model 3 unveiling. That's expected to come much closer to production.
