  1. There are new wallpapers in this release. Apparently.
  2. Also the oldest man to travel in space. R.I.P.
  3. Was just listening to him yesterday. R.I.P Mr Lake.
  4. In London, there are lots of jobs also for techies, schools have a lot of trouble, because anyone good will go to the city unless they are starting out or like the school environment. Even if you like working in a school, the pay can only go so high, most techies end up leaving education to get higher pay elsewhere, when they get older etc. Some companies in the city pay crazy wages, it can almost be double what a school would pay. But you have to remember also that London housing is very very expensive, so even on such a high wage, a person might not have much left at the end of the month after paying rent. Also a problem for schools, staff cannot afford to live here.
  5. That's what I know him from.
  6. I was going to see the new Star Trek film, then realised it was already out. Horrible movie, all action and still boring. Inferno looks good, can't wait for it to be released on home media.
  7. This is really nothing to do with me, as I don't and have never used the service, however I will throw my short opinion in. You signed up for a product, it seems it has continually had issues, what the business has or has not done to resolve the issue is pretty irrelevant. You pay for the product, it should be delivered. I would ditch it as soon as possible. Business is business as they say. Most businesses don't act until they start losing customers.
  8. I agree completely with you. Every year it's sooner when the shops start stocking up with Christmas stuff, just makes me a feel a bit sick to be honest. In America they start in September. My nan used to tell me all she got for Christmas was an orange, something to be said for that.
  9. Hydrogenated fats have largly been taken out of well known brands.
  10. Wow, with this and the new heating cigarette, many lives will be saved.
  11. "No one is going to buy one of those iPads, imagine walking around with it in your hand, your look like a twit"
  12. That's them, I was very young when they were still in use but can remember them.
  13. It's horrible people have to lose their jobs, but I'm not surprised. RM was too expensive and the systems (at least up to four or so years ago when I used it) were very poor. They used to charge stupid prices for simple tasks. It drove many schools away.
  14. Always like Ghost Stories, here's a good one as well.
  15. As soon as the advert was released I thought this would happen. Does remind me of the old pull top coke cans and how the discarded tops used to be all over the place. Am I remembering right?
  16. Of course it will happen in real life you know. The new generation that has been born with tablets and smartphones, will adopt it like honey. Older generations are a bit creeped out by this sort of thing, but generations before us were also creeped out by the things we do as normal today. I think by 2025 this will be a reality. Escape while you can!
  17. Hope the blu-ray comes out, one of the best files, very good atmosphere.
  18. Are you the seller OP?
  19. I have an iPhone SE, my first iPhone I have purchased new. Prior to that I had an iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4. The 3GS which was already old, both second hand, lasted for a few years, then the 4, I used for a few years until I got the SE, I gave the 4 away to family. I will keep the SE till it breaks. My Macbook Pro is non-retina 2012, stuck 1 1TB SSD in. I got it cheap brand new, and will keep that till it breaks. To be honest, I would still be using the 4, but wanted Apple Pay and Touch ID.
  20. I used to watch SG-1 many years ago, but near the end I lost interest, then they had all these other series, with spaceships and all that, think I will stick with Star Trek for that.
  21. Interesting, a murder right near my house. By the Krays!
  22. How does that work? I know people who still use an iPhone 4 they got new, and it still works fine. It might be a bit sluggish, but that is down to software updates, the actual device, works. To keep buying over and over again, surely must cost, even if you sell them. Not that I am telling you how to spend your money, it's yours, throw it down the drain (literally) if you want. None of anyone else's business.
  23. When your already spending that much on a machine, it's not likely to deter you. I don't buy Apple's excuse to be honest. Although I expect prices of food to go up by 20%. Alternatives for the weekly shop will help, speaking to relatives that were around in the 70's, "it's nothing compared to then".
  24. They have finally scrapped the Macbook Pro 2012 non retina model. RIP. Hopefully mine will last for many years to come. Is the price really that high? The retina pro was always that expensive. Personally if I needed a MacBook, I would buy second hand.
  25. The new Macbook Pro looks like something Dell has made, trying to copy Apple.
