I'd be inclined to agree with the newspapers on that one??? If it wasn't for his reliability issues he would have won the title with room to spare, I reckon.

As I said, it's part of racing. Keeping your kit in a condition fit to race both before and during the event is just as important as driving the car. Engines don't just go pop, there's always something that was missed, worn or just the wrong choice for conditions at the time to make it fail.

Kind of the same conclusion i came too, there's a thing now about him saying being at his peak and feeling right etc. but lets look at the facts. He lost the last two seasons previous in a superior car, to LH. this year, LH had a lot of reliability issues etc dogging his campaign, he had (almost) none. next year is a new era in the sport, where Mercedes are very unlikely to be as dominant as they have been the past 3 seasons, so i think his decision is misaligned, surely a better champion would still try and defend his title, in new/changing circumstances.

I've heard that Red Bull are possible favorites for next year with the extra downforce and that coming into play, so unsure Verstappen would want to leave...

Bet Toto is wondering how much does Max want to swap to Mercedes

Although probably not worth much when money talks but I remember Horner saying the Verstappen's contract is pretty watertight and they want to keep him.

Or Fernando Alonso is a option for the seat

I can't see Alonso wanting to be Hamilton's team mate again.

Vettel??

Wehrlein is a possibility since they have not yet secured a seat for him next season, but they were looking at either keeping him in Manor for another year, or Sauber.

Will certainly be a interesting few weeks until they announce someone, but the F1 Memes are already in full swing

Don't forget they're all contracted to teams next year except the test drivers, the one leaving Manor and theres another who hasn't got a seat.

Nico will change his mind when he sees the pay offer they'll undoubtedly offer him.

So, who will be joining Hamilton in 2017 now that rosberg has retired??... Vettle?? Or a reserve driver?

I didnt see that coming and im trying to think who may be around to take his seat.
