I'm not naming all the people I met! Far too many to do individually It was lovely to meet you all; I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

 

I have been transcribing names so we can issue digital AFK badges on the forum in the next couple of weeks - be patient; we're shattered!

 

I had an awful lot of people who told me variations on the "this forum is a life-saver" theme

 

I 'sold' the forum to quite a few who were unfamiliar with the forum

 

We got dodged by a few determined not to interact with us

 

I got grumpily told "I'm not an educator, I'm in infrastructure" by one NM who was clearly determined not to talk to me

 

And I had a good giggle at

- the number of colleagues who got told by excited edugeeks clutching AFK badges "See I Told you that you needed to join"

- the bemused colleagues accompanying edugeeks excited at getting their edugeek freebies and rambling about the significance of hobnobs

I also met quite a few people who waxed lyrical about how amazingly useful, and lifesaving, edugeek has been for them at one time or another.

I did a bit of wandering around with a few lanyards, telling various stands all about edugeek and quite a few were interested. One or two logged on straight away to have a look!

Was great to see all of you over the past week. We saw hundreds of people on the stand, many of them regular forum users, plus several regular lurkers. I didn't get out into the show proper very much, but it was nice to take five minutes at the EduGeek stand and have a site down and some Pizza

@Little-Miss & I took a walk around on saturday afternoon and found free Prosecco, some dangerously comfortable bean bags and a normal sized cup that she struggled to lift.

 

Was great to see so many people popping over for a quick blast on Elite. I reckon we'll be bringing it back next year for an encore!
