sted Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Just purchased 2 x Linx7 tablets for £39.99 each from eBay based entirely on this thread. Might, and I repeat might look at replacing the PE departments trusty and much abused Netbooks with these instead (or I might just keep them in the IT department...). Anyway, for £40 each, worth a play!! Andrew I hope they are better than the 10" they are one of the worst bits of kit ive used in years
LeMarchand Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I hope they are better than the 10" they are one of the worst bits of kit ive used in years Doubt it. I did have a 7" on loan a while back, and wasn't sold - but they were around £100 at the time. For £40 I can overlook some of the shortcomings.
ataylor Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I hope they are better than the 10" they are one of the worst bits of kit ive used in years Fills me full of confidence. I wonder if hearthstone will run on it.
caffrey Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 OOS on those RT-AC68U, shame as I was after one - I'm after a 128 / 256 Samsung SSD, Amazon only seem to have Sandisk on sale (Or huge Samsung ones..)

dry Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 As of last month I am no longer a student , also just noticed haven't been paid yet so I might have to wait for cyber monday There's an online course you can buy via Groupon (for about £6) that gave you student status and enabled you to buy an NUS card. Was posted on HUKD a while ago- will see if I can dig it out.

Garacesh Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Amazon should be doing a 2TB SSD on sale at some point today, too, I remember flicking through the upcoming deals and seeing it. Can't remember the price, though.

Hopefully have a nice reduction.
dry Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Just missed a pair of powerline adapters on Amazon going for £12. Probably a good thing I missed them as they weren't passthrough and pretty sure they had 10/100 ports (despite being marketed as 500Mbps... how can they get away with that?!)
Garacesh Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Corsair RMi Series RM850i ATX/EPS Fully Modular 80 PLUS Gold 850 W Power Supply Unit: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories Going on sale around 3:10pm, will sort me cabling needs out! Hopefully have a nice reduction. Yep, saw that and am extremely tempted.. Corsair also do their own range of individually braided cables in various colours.. I'm sorely tempted to get a new PSU (My current is only semi-modular..) and the cables Beats destroying the warranty by resleeving my current PSU.
DMcCoy Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Yep, saw that and am extremely tempted.. Corsair also do their own range of individually braided cables in various colours.. I'm sorely tempted to get a new PSU (My current is only semi-modular..) and the cables Beats destroying the warranty by resleeving my current PSU. I ordered the RMi 850 from scan (£89.99) as it was on my list to get (assembling new pc)
Garacesh Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 If the lower wattages go on sale I think I may just have to buy one, plus the cables, and pimp my PC out a little more.. Realistically though I only need a 650W PSU.

abillybob Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Acer Revo One RL85 Nettop - Nettop PC's at Ebuyer This is a very good deal guys. Same kind of deal I had this morning but this is the 2TB version. Good if you're looking for a HTPC as it comes with a remote control with a keyboard and mouse trackpad built into the remote control. I'm personally using mine as a Home Server / NAS. £159.99 and it's no bigger than a pint glass
