A lot of reviews say it crashes a lot, would be interested in your experiences.

Has anyone got a lead on a PS Vita for £170 or less? A colleague is searching for such a thing!

 

Also, I'm thinking of buying my housemates a PS4 - so if anyone has a great deal anywhere for that, I'd much appreciate a link!!

I picked up a 500GB PS4 with Uncharted Collection, LBP3 and a 2 month NowTV voucher for £250 which I was happy with (from Game, it was in store but I think online deal was similar). Amazon have some refurbs for £199 (console only).

Anyone spied a sub-£200 laptop with a decent sized screen? Member of staff here wants something for his Mrs who's doing some course or other, but he reckons she'll only use it for about 6 months do doesn't want to pay out for anything expensive.

 

I suggested a HP Stream 13 since MS Office was a big factor, but apparently needs to be something bigger.

Sainsbury's were knocking out some cheap HPs on Friday. Didn't pay attention to the specs

Yeah, I actually ordered myself one of those earlier in the thread :p (Though, for a tenner less).. I've suggested it to him as I don't reckon he's gonna get a fully fledged laptop. Everything in the bigger-screen category tends to be around £300-350

I'll have to look into that, I don't currently get education discount as I'm not working in education but I'm sure there are ways round that (mentioned earlier in the thread I believe). Also need to check how much my bank balance will cry if I do this as I bought an xbone recently.

I haven't seen a Samsung 850 EVO 240GB for less than about £55 though, need to buy one for my father-in-laws computer for christmas, no one seems to have done any decent deals on those...as far as I'm aware?

There's a 240GB SanDisk Ultra II SSD for £47.99 (with vouchercode 9SR917) @ Dabs.com if that's of any use?

He ended up buying one from DABS last night before I could show him this one, though he did complain that when my boss/the IT Manager showed him their selection, by the time he got home the price had jumped up by £40!

Then I pointed out we don't pay VAT.

Ordered one for the girlfriends parents as their BT Home Hub constantly drops wifi connection. I notice this doesn't have a modem built in though so will have to buy one separate. How do you go about setting up a modem and a router separately as I've never done it before!?

Just use the HomeHub. Disable the Wifi on that, connect the Asus via LAN cable, job's a good 'un.

My router has 4 ports. Ports 2, 3 and 4 are wired around the house. Port 1 connects to the modem, which connects to the splitter, which connects to the phone line. Easy enough.

Though as @sonofsanta suggests, if the homehub already works as a modem, too, just disable the Wi-Fi and use that.
