SpaceInvader83 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Just wondering if you could recommend anywhere for laptop screens? We currently buy from a supplier called AJparts, anyone recommend any more? Thanks
dry Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 We've bought from UK-based ebay sellers in the past. If the user is careless with their laptop, what's the point in spending mega-bux repairing it? The last screen we replaced was cracked again within 2 weeks. You'll most likely find cheaper panels by searching the model number of the panel as opposed to the model number of the laptop (if you weren't already). Be careful as the panels are often only subtly different from each other- slightly different connector location etc.
3s-gtech Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Amazon generally. We use Accu-part as the seller, they've been excellent.
ChristineAndrews Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I know it's not always best, but I have bought all my computer spares from eBay, motherboards, graphics cards, hard drives and yes even a screen, currently getting an inverter board, the back light went in the laptop.
koryo Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 These guys have been brilliant with me over the last year - Not a bad word to say about them from my POV. Laptops and Spares
TLARWise Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 We also use accupart although we go direct (Laptop Screens | Laptop Screen | Laptop LCD Screens | Replacement Laptop Screens | Broken Laptop Screen - Home) rather than through Amazon
SpaceInvader83 Posted November 4, 2015 Author Posted November 4, 2015 Accupart look just the ticket I'll give them a try, thanks everyone!
vyperz Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I use AJ Parts too and if they don't have it , any other eBay seller based in the UK
jonnykewell1 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 If I remember right, I think i've bought screens from @Millgate before 1
HTCPCP Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 another +1 for accupart. also, if your not 100% sure, you can also ring them up, and they are really helpful on the phone too. Have also used cheap ones from Amazon and ebay, but only when absolutely desperate and when the Finance Manager isn't there...
Oaktech Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 eBay for the more awkward models, but Accupart quite a lot.
