Chris_ Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Hello! I was wondering if there was any software you could recommend that your maintenance teams use that enables users to submit maintenance requests, get allocated to the relevant member of the team and dealt with. The system that we currently use is awful, and was probably very outdated before we started using it. The support for it is also pretty much non-existent. I know that there are plenty of IT helpdesk based bits of software out there but I'm looking for something more geared towards site/building maintenance. And if there's a mobile app available for them then it would be a bonus as all our site team have smartphones. Thanks in advance!
NetworkNinja Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 it might be worth a try having a look at a cloud based option. Currently we have started using zendesk. It pretty cheap and simple to use, also has a moblie app aswell.
clockend25 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Ours just use a separate Spiceworks installation. Just needs a bit of adjustment in terms of categories but otherwise it works fine.
Vegas Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Our site team use Property Prefect by TES Foundation, they seem to like it.
truebluesteve Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 We have been using a product called sitehelpdesk for IT and Property team calls but are about to move to ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus in the next week or so. It's free (albeit with limited support) but its very configurable
Gibson335 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Am having a trial of JitBit at the moment and liking it.
manc_techie Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 We use ManageEngine (the free one) easy to configure and customise and allows jobs to reported online or via email. There's an IOS app too for the team when out and about.
Davit2005 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 ManageEngine Plus here too. Different queues set up for Estates, IT etc. We do pay for ours and the support is pretty good TBH.
bharathipriya Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Another vote for ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus - https://www.manageengine.com/products/service-desk/ It has huge automation processes in place. Once the maintenance request is submitted, you can have them automatically allotted to the relevant skilled member of the team. You can also make use of their mobile apps to make your work easier.
john Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I had a custom Spiceworks for the Site Team and it works fine when they didn't use inventory etc... and the portal was the same layout but different colour for staff so it meant no excuse for knowing 2 systems for 2 areas just one was orange and one was blue for the two areas.
