Simcfc73 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 (edited) mrwITch and I were sad when some of our favourite shows ended - The Last Ship, Dark Matter, Stranger Things, etc But we are happy now that The Walking Dead, Z Nation, Westworld, Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and The Librarians have returned. Jeez, are you my wife? That's exactly what I watch Edited November 7, 2016 by witch 1
pcstru Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Watched 4 episodes of The Crown. Generally very good - if you like a good historical costume drama you will lap it up.
localzuk Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Watched the first season of The Expanse on Netflix this weekend. Took a long time to start to like any of the characters, but by the end of the series I like a few of them. Its a sci-fi that seems to have taken its influence from Bladerunner, Firefly and Battlestar Galactica. Worth a watch definitely. 1
v4learning Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 I've watched the first few episodes of The Crown too, It is good!
mavhc Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Dark Matter returns in 2017, but most importantly, so does the final season of The Leftovers
ICTDirect_Dave Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 mrwITch and I were sad when some of our favourite shows ended - The Last Ship, Dark Matter, Stranger Things, etc But we are happy now that The Walking Dead, Z Nation, Westworld, Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and The Librarians have returned. You need to add supergirl to that list this year. big crossover with the other three dc shows in a couple of weeks! Watched the first season of The Expanse on Netflix this weekend. Took a long time to start to like any of the characters, but by the end of the series I like a few of them. Its a sci-fi that seems to have taken its influence from Bladerunner, Firefly and Battlestar Galactica. Worth a watch definitely. I'm reading the Expanse books at the moment. Really really good. Putting off the series until I've finished though as i don't want to spoil my own mental image of the universe 1
Simcfc73 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Designated survivor is ok, its a bit full on and Keifer isn't the best actor... its been a long time since his standout performance in Young Guns (still one of my favourite films)
mavhc Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Humans is back, as is The Walking Dead, Dirk Gently (2016) is new, You're The Worst s3 finishes this week.
browolf Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 criminal minds, law&order svu, ncis & ncis:la, elementary, conviction, designated survivor, leathal weapon, marvel agents of shield, westworld, young pope, everest air + blacklist from season 2.
sparkeh Posted November 11, 2016 Author Posted November 11, 2016 Ok a bit behind but just started on Preacher and oh. my. God. Awseome
jaminben Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 The Night Of.... pretty good HBO drama miniseries
Dos_Box Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 I've watched the first few episodes of The Crown too, It is good! +1 For The Crown. I'm not usually into historical drama, but as this covers the political aspects of it I'm hooked. Binge watched the entire series and finished the other day. John Lithgow deserves an Emmy for his portrayal of Churchill! Roll on season 2
Sagima Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 In the space of a couple of weeks we have gone from American Horror Story (S6), The Catch (S1), House of Cards (S4), Orange is the New Black (S3), Wentworth (S4), The Blacklist (S3), Stranger Things (S1), The X-Files (S7), Game of Thrones (S4) and Transformers (S3 / Gen1) to American Horror Story (S6), Ash Vs Evil Dead (S2), Orphan Black (S3), How to Get Away with Murder (S3), Stranger Things (S1), South Park (S20), The Simpsons (S28), The X-Files (S7), Please Like Me (S4), Game of Thrones (S5) and Thundercats (1985 / S1) We have trialled the first episodes of Oz, Exorcist and Westworld. All three, we decided, needed a second episode before a final decision to include them in the rotation. Westworld might prove a conundrum though as neither of us like Westerns (or things set in the area) but we both enjoy light Sci-Fi and the actors Anthony Hopkins and Sidse Babett Knudsen (who sounds more danish doing an American accent than she does when doing a British one). The Catch isn't worth watching. Its highlight is John Simm because he's the only one who seems to have put any effort into it even though he's really just playing a slightly less insane version of his The Master character. Please don't waste your time with it Transformers is much better before the film (seasons 1 and 2). Even the quality of the animation is worse for season 3 The X-Files season 7 is just boring. It's taking a while to get through because neither of us have any enthusiasm for it. Should be finished by the end of the month though and hopeful maybe Season 8 might be good enough to have watched by Christmas. Season 20 of South Park is so far not as good as any of the previous 19 seasons. Now the election is out of the way perhaps they'll stop going on about it.
witch Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Watched the first few episodes of Expanse - definitely growing on me
mavhc Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Stop watching the xfiles around season 5, no point hurting yourself, they don't resolve anything. Stranger Things was so disappointing, people said it got good, they lied.
sparkeh Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 Rick and Morty. Best show I have watched for a long time 1
LeMarchand Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Watched last week's Yonderland (S03E05 "The Negatus Redemption") last night. I literally choked on my hot malted drink at one point. Why more people aren't watching this is beyond me.

LeMarchand Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Yeah - its great little show for kids and adults isn't it This season has been a little ruder than the first 2. I don't think I'll ever be able to erase The Sister Brothers from my mind!
LeMarchand Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Was feeling a bit rough at the weekend and caught up on the last few eps of Season 3 of "The Strain". They've been given one more season (rather than 2) to wrap up and so stuff actually happened. Previously merely annoying kid Zack now scores higher than Joffrey in the "monstrous" stakes. Though given the show's previous attempts at a "scientific" look at vampirism you'd think they'd have done a bit more research on the effects of what happens at the end. Maybe i'm wrong, but I don't think a low wall would be sufficient protection from a nearby ******* *****! Also got up to Ep 7 of the far superior "Westworld". I thought it was a bit odd when Theresa was talking about the door... Great stuff that I'd recommend to pretty much anyone.
browolf Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Recently watched series 1 of Badlands and The Magicians. Looking forward to season 2 of those in 2017.
LeMarchand Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Recently watched series 1 of Badlands and The Magicians. Looking forward to season 2 of those in 2017. Does Badlands get better? Watched the first few, but found it a bit slow. Loved Magicians.
6Foot2 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I have been watching Jack Taylor on Thursday evenings and was looking forward to another, but forgot that it was a short run of three episodes.
Garacesh Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Caught the first bit of Not Safe with Nikki Glaser last night. If I weren't so knackered I'd have stayed up to watch the rest of it. Hilarious. Little bit vulgar. Definitely not for the prudish.
browolf Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Does Badlands get better? Watched the first few, but found it a bit slow. Loved Magicians. I think it got better. My gf who is super fussy liked it. 1
