My server room is lovely and cool here, those new beastly AC units are amazing :) Datacentre spec cooling system was the best thing we got this year and I will be moving to work in it before long

I'm the same as you Pyroman. Got 1 server next to me and 2 behind. Have portable aircon and a big fan on a stand. These don't seem to be doing the job tho'. Blackout blinds are down, I have large windows in a south facing office. I'm roasting!

Haven't even got an aircon unit! It's just rained so the humidity has shot up, now feels very hot and very muggy. got a tiny window that's just about open and office door is wide open. no air movement though so not much use.

31 in the server room and 30 in the office outside of it.

I think the thermostat on the AC is broken as there is easily 5c- difference between the two rooms if not more, it is still cooling however.

42-48c on the CPUs

I've spent most of the day in the server room as the office is ridiculous. It looked at one point like we might get a storm to pop the humidity a bit, but no such luck.

How are you coping.

Air-conditioning in the server cupboard set to 18C, but I've just realised I don't have any temperature monitor set up. Temperature certainly seems okay, though - probably not 18C, but CPUs are reporting around 46C and all seems okay. Many thanks, by the way, to All Four Seasons airconditioning - they checked with us around Easter that all was okay and came out to do a 6-monthly service to make sure we were all set up for the summer.

I've just had a mild panic as I remembered the large UPS we have sitting in the basement, currently powering the server cupboard and half a dozen workstations around the school. Fortunatly, all seems okay down there, too.

Some of the floorspace in the server cupboard is being taken up by some bottles of wine from a couple of parents. It really would be better to have them out of the way, and we've got spare space in the rack, so I might get a 19" rack-mount wine cooler...

Server room is sitting at 32oC & the ICT suites are at 28oC at the mo. My office was 35oC this morning before I got the window opened and fan on.

No air conditioning in any of our rooms. Server room used to hit even higher before I moved some stuff out of it.

Semi related when I walked in my home yesterday I was greeting by the sound of a loud insistent beeping and the bunch of fans screaming away at full speed. Turns out my oldest was using my PC to play Ark Survival but the PC was seriously overheating (must have been around 60C). His response when I asked him why he didn't turn it off when it started making a loud beeping noise "Its been doing that for hours, the game was running ok though".

Game looks worth it though.

I tried playing it last night and the computer said no. Seems games are now 64bit only. Going to have to reinstall tonight.

Machine is on the lower limits of requirments though so not sure how its going to cope.

Anyone here play on Ritz's server? Or on a decent server anyway?
