synaesthesia Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 FO76 can do one. Cancelled the preorder and glad I did, from the little playtime I've had on a friend's machine it can stay off my purchase list. It's awful, it's nowhere near a Fallout game. I feel the worst bit is lack of NPCs, it just dehumanises the whole experience - ironically!
Garacesh Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I also beat the Elite Four over the weekend, on my first run. My Pikachu's level was in the late 50s during the run and was the highest level of my party, so it took a little bit of wrangling to keep them all fighting fit. .... how? O.o I've only just kicked Team Rocket out of Silph Co. and my party are all low-to-mid 40's. And I've hardly been blitzing catching stuff. Just caught enough to get the starters.

Just caught enough to get the starters. the elite 4 arnt that hard i think of my team i used stevee (the eevee) raichu and lapras and took them all down just had to use the odd ether /potion between rounds. Stevee while he may of been about 63 has stats way above that from eevee candies etc and all of them have speed stats that mean bar lapras and quick attack type priority moves they hit first hit hard and can tank iirc lapras has 250+ hp
Garacesh Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 You misunderstand.. I didn't mean how did you win, I meant how were your party that low levelled I would have expected 70's at the rate my party seem to be getting EXP
DeGrimmy Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 .... how? O.o I've only just kicked Team Rocket out of Silph Co. and my party are all low-to-mid 40's. And I've hardly been blitzing catching stuff. Just caught enough to get the starters. How'd I beat them, or how is my party's level in the 50s? I think my party was low to mid 40s when I beat Team Rocket, too. I got to Silph Co. in the mid 30s and got smacked down by Blue in the lobby... So I used the old Cycling Road down to Fuchsia City to battle and train up. ^.^
sted Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 (edited) You misunderstand.. I didn't mean how did you win, I meant how were your party that low levelled I would have expected 70's at the rate my party seem to be getting EXP fair enough i was about on par level wise with most of the elite 4 and if you can get a type advantage which when you eevee has a fire water and electric move starting with them means odds on you do and being normal not weak to much they arnt that hard (again with all the candies you get level is all but meaningless you could probably get enough candy playing to win with a level 1 mon if you really wanted to low levels i diddnt really catch more than one or 2 of most things i saw so most of the levels i have are from battling. i have multiple of odd pokemon mainly for some reason vulpix and i decided to try and get a shiny lickitung post game for some reason but they kept running away breaking the chain so i gave up Edited November 26, 2018 by sted

I even made sure to battle every trainer I could find, and go down routes I didn't necessarily need to in order to battle. My Pikachu was mid 60s when I stopped playing. A party in the 70s would be really useful for me right about now
Boooo Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Last Games bought : SUPERHOT, Just Cause 4, Red Dead Redemption 2
sted Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Horizon chase turbo on teh switch looks fun. Looks like outrun/lotus esprit turbo challenge might get that as a short game (all the ones currently in my queue are longer ones in at least 1 case 80+ hours lol)
sted Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 well bought Horizon chase turbo ive only played it a bit and in handheld mode but it does play roughly like i remember old lotus turbo games playing so its fun but isnt going to keep you playing for ages that said its a good game to play for 5 mins while waiting for stuff etc. back to playing xenoblade chronicles 2 on my wii-u and now ive got a new battery for the pro controller (for anyone interested its a 3ds battery) and im playing with that its much better i can just set the tablet down at the side of me as a map screen (you need it to do certain things like teleport) but its actually a good user of a 2nd screen. still getting killed a lot because im lvl20 and i keep running into lvl60+ monsters but thats just the game (it was very frustrating when as part of an affinity quest id spent 10+ mins swimming to a new landmass and got wiped before finding a warp point though and had to redo it. ive also finally found someone with a healing art shame i think i was supposed to find they earlier and they are way underlevelled so i might have to do some grinding
Lister Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Just started playing X4 Foundation - looks like the developers learned some lessons from the last one. Needs a manual for definite though, the tutorials only get you so far!
Xellpnz Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Went back to Guildwars 2 the other day, felt bit burnt out with other stuff. Glad i did go back, damn gem in the dirt that one.
Mako Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Just started playing X4 Foundation - looks like the developers learned some lessons from the last one. Needs a manual for definite though, the tutorials only get you so far! I've been smashing this as I'm an avid fan of the series. Haven't got as far as having 20 carriers and destroyers like other people, but I've earned quite a bit and have a fleet of lucrative ships going around. Be sure to go through ALL the tutorials. For anything else hit the subreddit for X4. It's very unfinished but they're cranking out the patches which is standard for any Egosoft game.
pr1vate_piles Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Last games that I actually completed was batman: Arham City and Shadows of Mordor. I think its because they run the same fight system? Still playing Call of Duty most nigts though. Always seems to be my goto game. Does anyone else seem to start a game, get only 70% of the way through?Same here. Got loads of games I need to finish off. My goto game for a while has been battlefront 2. Maybe it's due to not having a lot of time to delve into larger games. Just easier to jump into a shooter game and loose myself for a couple of hours.
DeGrimmy Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Elite: Dangerous has had a new update, so I'm back playing that. Might actually finally start looking into the Engineers, I've still only got the first few unlocked and I need to head out to the now Thargoid-infested Pleiades nebula for the first time since their re-appearance to pick up some meta-alloy... I've been to the Pleiades nebula before, but I think this was way before the Engineers were a thing! Still, I guess it'll give me a reason to try out the new exploration doo-dads.
Garacesh Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I keep hearing snippets about Elite from the housemate every now and again.. The amount of content you get isn't too bad for, what was it, £13 for this expansion? Which is like a year of updates? That's a pricing model done right.

The Pleiades are interesting these days. Just be careful around non-human signal sources... Thargoids are scary tough! Couple of locations for you to go explore Pleiades Sector LN-S b4-3 | barnacles - Planet C 3 co-ords(-13.1651, -54.358) - known thargoid Visitation site HIP 19026 | Thargoid Base - Planet B 1 C, co-ords (-17.9526, -152.6844) - NEED Unknown Artifact to enter You'll be able to pick up meta alloys in your SRV at both of these sites. Some other interesting Thargoid stuff: HIP 17403 | Alien Wreck | Alien ship wreckage with several Unknown Artefacts scattered around. A very creepy site. Planet A6A at coordinates -34.96, -141.37. Lots more interesting bits here: Maia - nearest interesting star systems - Elite Dangerous Utilities 2

That may have been in a sale of some sort, I think it was more pricey than that to begin with... I was a Kickstarter backer (beta level) and then bought the lifetime expansion pass for a *lot* of money when the first big expansion released. I feel the purchase was justified considering the literal weeks of game time I've poured into it, but I seem to remember quite a few complaints at first. And @ICTDirect_Dave, thanks for that. I hadn't considered visiting a barnacle site, I was just going to pop to Maia and buy some from the market there! I guess I'll see how I feel when I get there. I've been following all the cool alien things everyone in the community finds, but I've been too chicken to think of leaving the bubble. Edited December 14, 2018 by DeGrimmy

I was the same for a while, but there was nothing quite like driving round a barnacle site and then hearing the Thargoid growl over your comms. All of a sudden everything shuts down, your windows frost over and, if you're unlucky enough to be near the centre of the site, you get pulled upwards towards the massive ship hovering overhead! Wasn't so bad as I survived, however, my ship fared much worse. I'd just dismissed it so I could call it back later. Turns out it got shut down at it was gaining altitude, and without shields or power it didn't matter how much armour my Python had. It hit the ground and blew up, leaving me stranded!

Oh jeez, that was unfortunate timing then! I think I'll be kitting out a Diamondback Explorer tonight and heading to Maia. I'm a little strapped for credits at the moment because I bought a Krait Phantom, before deciding against it and buying back my Alliance Challenger, leaving me about 30M Cr out of pocket... I'm a combat pilot, so it takes me a while to accrue those credits!

I'm a combat pilot, so it takes me a while to accrue those credits! I'm not ashamed to say I exploited the Quince phenomena to the tune of 300m credits to buy myself a maxed out Python. Then I did a lot of the Professor Palin missions out of Obsidian Orbital in Maia. Did runs to the crash sites I mentioned in my previous post, picked up a cargo hold of corrosive Thargoid parts and then sold them to palin for 2-5M each. Used that lot to buy myself a lovely Krait to complement my DBX, & Python.
Garacesh Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Got an email on Saturday notifying me that my account had been authorised into The Division 2 technical alpha. It's still got a fair few bugs, as you'd expect for an alpha, but overall feels fun. I'll be looking into it closer to its release and, depending on its monetisation method, might go ahead and pick it up at launch.
korifugi Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Finally finished the Platinum for Mafia III. Now I've started Torment: Tides of Numenura
