Currently enjoying Anthem atm, very immersive game, the flight mechanics are just incredible, why haven't they made more games where you can fly? Doing a re-run of GTA V, GTA will always be my favorite game, been playing it since it cam out.

Finished Persona 5. Was a good game, very enjoyable, but at 80 hours I don't think I'll be replaying it in a hurry lol.

I'm taking a bit of a break from P5 after finishing my first run. I'm after the Platinum from it so that'll mean another run through. Still love the soundtrack though.

if you value your sanity do it on a new game plus file and follow a guide. i tried to just ng+ it without a guide on my 2nd attempt missed a few odds and ends ended up doing a 3rd run lol

I've already consigned myself to having to use a guide for the second run. Annoyingly though - there's an extended edition of P5 on the way.

Lol I can't imagine playing it a 2nd time at the moment, though I guess it wouldn't be as much of a slog depending on if you keep stats, confidant levels, personas etc?

 

I ended up with Knowledge, Kindness and Proficiency at 5, with 4 in Charm and Guts, as well as Confidant 10 with Ann, Ryuji, Futaba, Kawakami, Sojiro, Mishima and Tae (not counting Morgana, Igor, Akechi and Sae as I assume they progress to 10 automatically as part of the story)

I played the Alpha weekend of that, thought it was great! However I'm used to Factorio which has 5 years of development behind it, so I'll be waiting to get Satisfactory for a while. Probably around the time it's no longer an Epic exclusive...

I'm replaying SW: Knights of the Old Republic 2 for the first time in over ten years. I've somehow managed to put in nearly 40 hours of gameplay in the last week!

 

I forget just how good this game is. The dialogue is excellent, it's understanding of Star Wars lore, magnificent.

The fact that they've just taken a D20 RP system and added pretty lightsaber fights is particularly satisfying.

 

I've got a mod running that patches in 90% of the content cut from the original due to time constraints, so there's plenty of new stuff in there for me also.

if you new game plus you do and you keep your bestiary but not the actual persona themselves iirc(though it costs a fortune to summon something above your level assuming you can) you even keep you inventory so you walk into the 1st dungeon with end level weapons and just bop them lol.

 

its little things that are easy to miss i had to on my last playthrough go back a few days and read a book and buy a can o pop to get all the achievements (luckily i generally dont save over the same slot very often)

 

im wondering who the royal version is for at least for me its way to soon to play an extended version if it was on switch or vita it would make sense but not ps4, and announcing an announcement or an announcement is a bit crummy

There's rumours of a switch release, but the site and promotional videos still only show the PlayStation logo. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony were pushing for an exclusive, but Atlus have apparently been receptive to the idea of other consoles recently so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

 

I've played P5 on my friend's PS4 I borrowed, but if there's a Switch release of P5R, I'd buy it.

my guess is no switch release as persona (main line) is a ps exclusive nintendo get the shin megami tensei (and the related Tokyo mirage sessions #fe) series on their consoles and there is a smt game due on switch it was announced with the switch years ago but thats about the last anyone heard of it and ms get nowt as its a Japanese game and ms may as well not exist in Japan. i wouldnt be surprised though if p5 comes to vita again in japan its still about viable even if they dont make them any more and i dont think it was a ps4 logo they showed with p5r just a ps logo

I absolutely loved playing games, but I've been finding it hard to get myself playing in the past couple of years. Outside of personal circumstances, I've found that my consumption has moved mainly from games to a hell of a lot of TV and cinema.

 

That said, I have just completed the single player campaigns of Battlefield V from my PC in 4K HDR. Visually good and a fun waste of time, but as a game...it's the usual visual over substance from EA.

 

Next on my list is probably We Happy Few. I absolutely loved the premise of this game when I saw the first trailer - it seemed very Bioshocky. However at release, it got slammed hard with all it's bugs and rushed/lazy development. Now that some of that has been (hopefully) ironed out, I'm going to give it a go.

I'm really looking forward to The Outer Worlds - in case you've not heard it's the 'Fallout' game we've all been waiting for except it's not a Fallout game at all (it is but they cant say it is).

 

The original creators of Fallout and Obsidian (best know for Fallout: New Vegas) have been working on The Outer Worlds and it's due for release this year - the trailer looks amazing:

That looks ace! Obsidian also did KOTOR2 that I mentioned yesterday, so I've a lot of time for them

Was not a fan of KOTOR, but that was because of the combat mechanics.

i found i was barely playing towards the end of the 360 start of the xbox 1 generation. it comes and goes you need the right games and that changes over time. i used to be all about racing games and they generally bore me quickly now ive gone back to rpgs and started on open/openish world games these days like botw/horizon zero dawn

well after playing ff7 up to about the point where spoiler i decided i diddnt want to push to or past that point. So after seeing a stream of it ive decided to play ff13 instead. 1st and only time i played it was on ps3 (because the 360 version was worse lower quality cut-scenes etc due to dvd instead of blu-ray) well the backwards compatible version looks great on my one x they have done some serious work to it. it looks like a modern game (it dosent feel like it there are obvious things like the camera and not being able to go to places due to invisible walls for example). Put in 6-7 hours in over the weekend and im enjoying it probably have a go at ff13 2 after and maybe give the 3rd one another try. if this is the sort of thing that can be done with backwards compatibility then im even more in than i was before but i suspect that this is going to be the exception not the rule as why would i buy a remake of it its already 4k (or somewhere near that 2/3 are 4k)

 

also tried dangerous driving and it was fun for a few hours but not great

finished final fantasy 13 yesterday (well rolled credits) havent decided if i will try and get all (or at least some) of the missing achievements. some look reasonably doable in a few hours others look like i would need to but another far too many hours in for it to be worth it (i cant see me maxing out every character ive almost got them all maxed out on one of their 3 main roles (and getting 1 character maxed on healing etc is an achievement for each job) but i would have to max out all 3 main roles then max out the other 3 roles they get partway through the game that i have dropped 0xp into and thats 3*10 levels so thats a lot of grinding

I've played Borderlands 1 and now I'm into Borderlands 2. Not as fun as I remember, but they did come out a while ago. Will still finish it and then play the Pre-Sequel.
