I do love my case, it looks the bomb. I have the matt black and red one, my build is red themed with red LED Corsair fans on the H100 and I have a NZXT Hue+ with 3 LED strips in there. But I haven't been able to get a stable OC on the CPU since building into this case. Just gets way to hot and crashes the machine. :( But other than that, yeah the awesome looking H440 ;)

Need to get an external HDD for my xbox when i get paid, already only have 40GB free, and with the monthly games thing and still Halo 5 to install, I'm gonna be out of room!

 

 

Anyway........Not much talk of games going on... :p

 

Liking the new GTA Top down racing mode...:D

Nothing wrong with talking about the things we use for gaming in the 'Gaming Chat' thread. But I'm enjoying the new Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 despite the bad reviews it got.

I really wish you could upgrade the internal drive on the xbox one the stock drive is a slow pos and even 1tb is easy to fill ive now got a 750gb ssd as my default storage but Id imagine would get a lot more benefit if it was the main drive and say a 2tb external drive for old stuff im not currently playing

 

that said I don't think ive used my xbox one much this year bar 90 mins of ff15 before giving up o it I think ive played more switch or even ps4 (I think ive played persona5 on my ps4 more than every other game combined)

Pre-loaded Dawn of War 3 last night after picking it up on Cdkeys for a mere £30.

 

Looking forward to cleansing the Xenos tonight!

 

CDKeys have been really smashing out the good deals, I bought the Season Pass edition of Ghost Warrior 3 (Full game + Season Pass) for £22?!?!

In regards to PC, I'm looking to buy a new Gaming Monitor, anybody got any recommendations:confused:

 

Don't buy G-Sync, buy FreeSync (he says with a G-Sync monitor)

 

My housemate just bought the equivalent of my monitor, but with AMD's FreeSync, which doesn't carry a hefty NVIDIA tax surplus charge for the G-Sync module. It's every bit as good, responsive, etc as mine is. FreeSync is definitely on-par with G-Sync now. With VEGA being soon(ish) it's probably better for you to buy a FreeSync monitor now (even if you have an NVIDIA GPU atm) and then buy AMD cards in future.

 

I'm basically stuck with buying more-expensive NVIDIA GPU's now because I shelled out the extra dosh on G-Sync. The cost of buying a new AMD GPU + FreeSync monitor is equal-to-or-greater-than the cost of buying a new NVIDIA GPU. But with 144hz+, some kind of frame synchronisation technology is definitely required.

Definitely FreeSync then. It's cheaper and just as good. (Plus technically it supports more than AMD GPU's but I don't think anything else major has adopted it yet, it's still more likely than G-Sync to be used on other products in the future.. Consoles are AMD aren't they? Do they use it? Ninja'd by @JJonas)

 

After having a 144Hz monitor for nearly two years now, I couldn't go back to 60. People say FPS beyond 60 is negligible, but trust me when I say I know when it drops to below 90. I can see it. It's jarring.

1440p is less important, admittedly. 1080p at 144Hz will be perfectly fine for most people. You're looking at <£150 for a 1080p 144Hz FreeSync and <£300 for a 1440p 144Hz FreeSync.

*Keeping in mind the main games I play are Overwatch, CSGO & World of Warcraft.

*But I also play games like BioShock and Skyrim from time to time.

 

I've never used an AOC personally, but something like that ought to do you just fine, yeah.

Any competitive online game will see you benefit from a higher refresh rate, once you get used to it. More frames to see and react with. CSGO and Overwatch you'll probably notice a benefit, WoW less so.

My i5 and 980Ti gets 120FPS in Overwatch pretty easily.

I'm using AOC at the moment, no issues! pretty underrated brand I think.

 

Ah, well I'm not really playing anything competitive like that atm. Usually RPG games with Reshade etc.

Counting the minutes down until I can go home and play Mario Kart 8 on the switch !

I've been playing this series since the original came out in 1992 !!

Looking forward to playing this game with my kids :)
