korifugi Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Fun Fact: I came into work this morning wearing a DMC Reboot hoodie. Games: Just finished the storyline for The Saboteur, now I'm just in post-game clean up to see if I can Platinum it.
Domo Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Haven't completed anything in a while, mostly due to playing games that aren't exactly completable. Did however pay for origin access for both me and my girlfriend, i was a bit skeptical at first of it, but it means both of us can play BF4 premium, BF Hardline premium etc just for 3.99. seems like a good deal to me, and it also came with Dragon Age Inquisition which i'm going to aim to complete!
sted Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 finished party hard well 900 gamer score bought fire emblem fates se
pete Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Just finished* The Solus Project and for a game where the only** other lifeforms are growling tribbles, suspiciously non-carnivorous plants and the inescapable feeling someone's following you, it's pretty good. *in so far as available content goes - final few hours are out in June. ** OK, not strictly true, but trying to keep it spoiler-free. Tesla Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Not a game as such but just took advantage of a new customer offer at sainsburys online to get a years worth of PSN (£40) and £25 psn credit for £45. game related. Almost completed the Uncharted Collection, about 1/4 of the way through the 3rd one. will be getting Uncharted 4 next month
Suteijian Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Just started playing Uncharted 4... Just purchased Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for Ps4 to play through so I'm up to date in the story for this.
Tesla Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Bought Bloodbourne with the £25 voucher above (came up as deal of the week the day after i got the voucher, GOTY edition for £24.99) IT's....difficult.
L3OUGH Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I brought Overwatch last night. Just needed something that was a laugh to play and not at all serious. It's a right laugh! Most fun I've had in ages
Garacesh Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I've been thinking about getting Overwatch.. I get a very TF2-but-with-less-hats vibe from it. But I think I'm going to leave it for a month, see what the reviews are saying after release hype wears off and see what player numbers are like.
TraylerD Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Last game I completed was Uncharted 4. Must have missed that Sainsburys deal to might go back and see if that is still available
Tesla Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Last game I completed was Uncharted 4. Must have missed that Sainsburys deal to might go back and see if that is still available It was just a "£20 off your first online grocery shop over £60" , just that the vouchers were part of that deal (usually stuff like vouchers are excluded i think??)
korifugi Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Finished The Saboteur to a Platinum, now I need to decide what game next.
LeMarchand Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Enjoyed this - it certainly didn't seem like an almost 10 year old game. Got a bit too shooty at times for my taste (how many men did the bad guys bring?) and I spent a lot of time wondering how all the torches etc got lit. Then a fair bit of time regretting meeting the likely candidates.
Tesla Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) Yeah, Uncharted logic is you go into an area untouched by man for thousands of years to be shot at by men with guns. Was having a gander at board games at Toys R Us Saturday, and spied Guitar Hero Live on the Wii U for £25 (and that included the guitar!). New GH Controller is much better than old, instead of 5 buttons, there's 6 (but they are split, 3 above and the below, making it slightly more like playing an actual guitar). Once I got my TV setup correctly so it wasn't lagging, been having some good fun, only downside is the model the game now uses encourages you to spend money in game, but if it means i can pick the game up for £25 I'm happy. LeMarchand Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Mirror's Edge I think this was a PS3 freebie. Quite entertaining and the save points were well chosen for the main part - just close enough for that "one more stage" appeal. Ending was a bit anti-climatic though.

I thoroughly enjoyed Mirror's Edge, the mechanics were fantastic but overall the game felt too short, as if they were dipping their toe in the water with regard to mechanics, but overall they pulled it off well. Though I do agree the ending was extremely lacklustre and not exactly satisfying. That being said, the sequel looks to be promising (which I suspect is why they're giving the first away for free)

Sat at probably about 30+ hours on this one, maxed out my multiplayer level. The game's split into two modes, GH Live and TV. Live is what they were showing on all the adverts, 4/5 song sets with a live band and an audience that reacts to how you play, think it took me about 2 hours to go through all of it. Most of the gameplay is in GHTV. The GHTV side of things is essentially just a music video channel with a fret board thrown over the top, so the songs just keep coming and coming, split into 30 / 60 minute chunks with a theme, hour of pop music, 30 minutes of rock etc. Two channels too, so if you don't like what's on, you jump into the second one, normally channel 1 is more rock / metal and the second is more pop / indie. I'd say if you see it at a fair price, snap it up, I paid full price for mine on release and I reckon I've had my money's worth. As for storage, the guitar's pretty small, mine just sits next to my desk. Edited June 6, 2016 by DMcGuigan

simpsonj Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Not sure if it's been mentioned, but fans of Persona might be interested in knowing that Persona Q is half price on the 3DS eShop. Picked it up yesterday, though haven't played it yet as I'm still finishing Trails of Cold Steel (which is also a LOT like Persona 4).
korifugi Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Last bought: Goat Simulator (as it's currently less than £3 on PSN)
