Garacesh Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Yeah, personally I prefer the vanilla textures/ui/etc (the only issue being I use an xbox controller and it doesn't list A/B/X/Y etc its B1, B2, B3 etc) but just thought I'd mention it. For a 1999 game it still doesn't look too bad!

X-13 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Bought Dark Souls 3. It's so good. It's been a while since I played a souls game blind. PvP is bad though. Nothing but ganks. Gonna have to leave the cool purple covenant and be a filthy SunBro.

"trash talking" and nothing but so every 3rd word is 4 letters long I don't mind people going @+~@ when they die etc but not constantly that's without mentioning just how awful some people are online b. end up in a room of people so much better than you its no fun c end up in a room of people so much worse than you its not fun for long the only mp game ive played in years that's fun is splatoon and that's because no voice chat
Tesla Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 Bought Dark Souls 3. And the "most obvious post in this thread of the year" goes too.... @X-13
LeMarchand Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) I didn't buy "Roundabout" after having a go at the demo - it looked like a fun game and concept, but it wasn't for me. However, it's £2.19 (standard) or £2.99 (deluxe) on Steam at the moment. Edited April 21, 2016 by LeMarchand Typo
LeMarchand Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Finished ICO. Very pretty and the setting was nicely atmospheric (a bit hard to see sometimes, though). Confirms my theory that there ain't no H&S building regs in Fantasyland. Spoiled by having to drag that damn annoying girl around to prevent her being attacked. Otherwise quite good.
Garacesh Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 I quite liked ICO, but I never got to complete it because the disk got damaged
andyturpie Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Last game I bought was Underwurlde for my ZX Spectrum 128. Seriously.
Garacesh Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Ooh, I bought Moonlight Sonata on XB360 for a fiver off Amazon. It's supposed to be a JRPG based on classical music, but I haven't fired it up yet. I've heard mixed reviews, some saying it's amazing, others that it's terrible, but for a fiver, it's worth a punt.
sted Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 bought/completed: walking dead michone (barely a game but its fun and an easy 1000 gamerscore) also got party hard on xbox before that. completed the pc version but the xbox one seems buggy cant get owt from teh dodgy bloke and i keep having one more person to kill on the last level than there are people
korifugi Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Picked up both Tales of Symphonia games for a tenner on a PSN sale. Had the first one back in the day on t'cube and absolutely loved it (It's one of the only three games I've ever shouted at when it stole a character from my group). Finally finished a 'complete everything' run through of Mass Effect 2 - ready to transfer over to ME3, and just polishing off the last few Riddler collectables in Arkham Knight.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Just bought (preordered) Warhammer Total War. I wasn't going to get on it straight away, but it looks Very pretty! Plus it finally combines two sides of my geeky past into one great looking game

Just bought The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel after a reviewer described it as a mix between Persona and Suikoden. A few hours in and it's showing potential...
Domo Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Last game i completed was Dark souls 3, If you can call it "completable" Just bought Mount and Blade Warband: Viking Conquest as i have been watching too much Vikings.
korifugi Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 100% finished Batman: Arkham Knight (storyline and sidequest wise). While I feel this was definitely a good game - it wasn't as good as Asylum.
GuyJD Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Finally completed all the story missions, side missions and encounters on The Division Not tried the incursion yet but that's mainly because I'm squaded up with the mrs who's not very good under pressure.
korifugi Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 ...but that's mainly because I'm squaded up with the mrs who's not very good under pressure. I had similar on my first try of doing the multiplayer missions in FarCry 3... "No - not that way" "Over here, no you can't loot over there" "Seriously - there's lots of enemies over here" "Of course they're shooting you - you're running at them in the open" "Yes, the bomb - no, there... Big flashy light? Beeping?" "Yes, take it to the arrow - I'll cover" "No you can't carry it and fight" Luckily, she is enthusiastic.
Boredguy Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Bought Farm Sim 2015 at the weekend. Already got over 22 hours logged on it

Garacesh Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Pre-ordered Need to Know the other day. Looks interesting.
L3OUGH Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I bought Elite Dangerous. Not sure why really. Looks ok and was a spur of the moment kind of purchase. Managed to do 1 mission before the tension of landing my spaceship without crashing got to much and I quit. May get some time in later again.

Landing is tough but gets easier (having said that i still have the occasional fail moment). Are you using keyboard & mouse, xbox pad or joystick combo?
