Whats the show like?

Really quite good! I binged watched them all over the weekend and enjoyed every minute. Up there as one of the best comic book adaptations in my opinion.

I seem to be in the minority! Admittedly only seen the first part so far, but struggled to stay awake. Plus it seemed to be that the makers were taking the "dark" tone a bit too literally.

I think I preferred the Ben Affleck version (or to be more honest, the Jennifer Garner version).

I loved it, started Friday night, finished it about lunchtime on Saturday.. Didn't sleep much :p

I went in not expecting much after the film, but I thought it was massive improvement.

Yeah I had heard good things but thought the film was pretty awful so didn't expect much either, watched the first episode last night and it's best thing I've seen for a while so will see how far I get with it this week

At least he shows signs of fatigue unlike other superheroes that seemingly fight for ages with no sign of fatigue (green arrow for one).

That's one of the things that made the movie stand out to me: there was a scene where DD/MM returns home after a patrol visibly hurt and pops a load of pain killers.

Watched it all over Friday/Saturday, absolutely loved it. Not read the comics (or much Marvel, but I generally 'get it') but as a casual viewer you can just tune in, get a bit of the origin and go from there. D'Onoforio as Fisk is great, super intense. Show sticks out from the rest of the MCU/TV like a sore thumb and it's better off for it.

Immediately when I was watching that scene I just thought of The Raid, in an interview the showrunners said they took inspiration from that and Oldboy.

Agreed! Fisk is fantastic throughout, he's a great villain. 'That' scene with the Russian is amazing.

Generally i think it was well cast and well acted. Bob Gunton as Leland in particular was pretty great. Literally the only one I wasn't a huge fan of initially was Foggy (Elden Henson according to Wiki) but I did eventually warm towards him too.

I sat for ages trying to work out who the hell was playing Fisk. Blummin Law and Order dude..

He played Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket as well, that's where I recognised him from.
