This tracking is brilliant, never seen anything quite like this before when tracking a parcel!! Really impressed with DPD so far I had to speak to them on the phone to re-arrange where to send the delivery and they couldn't do more for me!!!

I was going to upload a screenshot of what it looked like but then remembers that would give away who I am etc :) so here's what their tracking service looks like for those of you who don't know

Well done DPD!!!

Yep DPD have some good tracking software and customer service in place.

Our local driver even goes the extra mile for my folks and puts the deliveries straight into the garage as he knows they can't get to the door quickly.

That's not DPD specific, that service is used by a lot of couriers, eg Parcel Express's tracking is identical.

But yeah its great.

Oh right. Didn't realise this. I am very happy though with the service compared to others such as Yodel and even the Royal Mail. All things ever delivered should be by DPD imo.... I want a DPD kind of world so happy with their service and the woman I spoke to was absolutely brilliant.

45 minutes away but only 500 yards from your house, I think you need to have words with Leon when he finally arrives!

Haha :) Not my screenshot buddy!!!

Always bugged me, that did. DPD deliver a lot of our replacement laptop parts and I'll watch him on the map.. He'll be one side of town, then 20 minutes later the other, then back on the first side, then up at the top, then down to the bottom, etc. So he's passed our school umpteen times by this point.. The tracking is a nice feature, but I think they need to fire their logistics guys!

It's down to how they pack the van, but yeah it's irritating.

DPD are one of the best delivery companies IMO. Down here its gotten even better, as they took on the guy who used to work for CityLink down here, who is excellent - polite, friendly, efficient etc...

Yeah I have to say DPD have never failed me, unlike a certain other parcel delivery service (Royal Mail) who managed to lose a 40" Smart TV and on another occasion a 24" Acer Monitor (I got lucky with the monitor, they sent a second which showed up 2 weeks late but after I had received a full refund). What flippin' company dispatches a 40" smart TV and doesn't use a private courier? >.< Imbeciles.

Amazon Prime!

You wouldn't believe the number of times I've complained about them using Royal Mail for next day delivery, completely useless.

O.o wut. My prime stuff usually arrives with DPD or shudder YODEL. It's none-prime stuff that arrives via Royal Mail for me.

Yeah lately it's only been DPD, but in the past Royal Mail, maybe they finally listened..? I mean that TV was from over 2 years ago so times have moved on perhaps.

scan.co.uk always use DPD. You get a text telling you an hour slot when your parcel will arrive ("12:21 - 13:21") and all that tracking. A very good reason to use scan for components - it's worth paying the delivery charge.

Completely agree. I almost always buy from Scan and the fact that they use a decent courier is definitely one of the reasons.

DPD is the way forward, there is also another courier (cannot find name) who are very similar and don't know if its a sub company of DPD cannot fault.

They are indeed very impressive with their tracking, telling you a delivery window and usually the driver arrives just after the time here.

They can never wait for long though if picking stuff up, had a couple of near misses with them collecting hot swaps over the years, where the driver was worrying about having to leave as he was going to max out his wait time.

Excellent Service from them though

They are fine here - and what if the private courier is Yodel!!

I really liked DPD till today, I'm off work for the week and a personal parcel was getting delivered to work. So I monitored their site said I was parcel number blah of blah with the map of where he was and how long, so I nipped into work and waited in reception. I refreshed the page as mine was next on the list and there was a "unable to deliver message" and that the driver had left a card - there was no way I could've missed them!

DPD are brilliant. I watched the tracker and knew exactly where the courier would be and when he would arrive. It was spot on!

Yodel on the other hand - stayed in all day waiting. Their "tracker" said my parcel was out for delivery. Around 7pm when no delivery turned up I checked the website and it stated "delivery attempted - unable to gain access to property". Complete %:censored:%%. There were 3 of us in all day waiting for this delivery.
