Yup. Binged watched it over half term. Although started to get a bit bored with it... Monday's episode was OK though... excited to see how they end this season....

More or less hooked, to be honest I don't really have an issue with the slow burning episodes, if it was action every episode I would probably have gotten tired of it a few seasons ago, it's good to have episodes that focus more on the plot, character building, etc. than just killing walkers.

I have had my ups and downs with it. Season 2 was rough and before one particular character is removed in the prison I was struggling to watch their scenes. The comics are even better if you get the chance to read them I would recommend it it greatly. Its great to spot little homages to the comics in the TV show as well. Edited by Badzeye

I haven't read the comics but is Daryl's Turtle that he has for one episode from the comics?

Same here, was thinking how much longer some of the current crop of characters will last as most of there possible stories has been exhausted.

Still not sure why there hasn't been more of the mass swarm of walkers or last bastion of the army rolling round picking of walkers.

Daryl is not in the comics. Hes a great second in command/right hand man/brother for Rick in the show which the comics lacks.

Ah I see, well I will never understand why that Turtle was in that episode then. Thanks.

I love it! :D As others have said I'm intrigued to see how this series ends... I may have to try and read the comics though at some point as people do say they are good.

Its very slow burning and it gets a bit tedious seeing the squashed brains all the time.

I do wonder if there will be a time when the government pops back up in some guise, like they did in that lights out show...the one with the silly nanobots stopping electricity from working.

Yes, it's good when the characters are developed, but I think SE4 had too many 'fillers' like the Beth & Darryl in a random cabin they burned down (I am conscious of spoilers btw, but there is nothing to spoil in this episode) at the end. SE5 since the mid season break has been exceptional.

I read somewhere that there is going to be a spinoff series about other survivors, although I am not sure if this has been 100% confirmed yet.

I believe its in production at the moment, same world just different people and location. Looks like they are try to milk the franchise like csi/ncis.

Have watched it for all 5 series so far, but something needs to start happening now. They lurch from one "perfect" town to another and the inevitable happens and they move on again.

I liked the first series, but at the end of the day I just couldn't get past the main guy being Simon from Teachers! It spoiled the whole thing for me. :)

Or this... :)

Purposely skipped to the end of this thread in case of spoilers - I'm watching it but only on second series and it's very slow right now. I don't mind, but I'm having a hard time convincing the OH which is frustrating as I know how much more interesting the story is going to get (I'm working through the comics too, almost finished compendium 2 so way ahead of where I am with the TV show)

Love the Walking Dead, only got into it since Christmas but so far have watched every episode and seen all the interviews with the stars. I swear to god if they kill Daryl I will cry and won't stop although I feel his presence hasn't been as strong in Series 5 as it was in the others.

My favourite series was the first, and my least favourite was the second I felt it dragged on a bit on the second. I liked the Prison one though as well :)

Plus this is my ringtone :p

More Daryl - that's what we need!

I don't like "Karrull" much either although he has improved as he has got older.

I love the show but it annoys me often new people are turned away and sometimes just murdered or ignored, because "family" but they are a diverse group that have come together from all over the place - and it isn't long since the red-haired guy (Abraham?) and his lot joined.

I find a lot of Women like, like Daryl :p I don't know why but even when I see him on screen, there's something about him that make me question my own sexuality. :bounce: Good ol' Daryl.

Is it still cool to hate Carl? because i still hate Carl... gets on my nerves when he's on screen.

Carl angers me also. That's why I like that song :)

I'm not sure about Daryl, i thought he was a great character, but he seems to be a bit withdrawn and boring at the moment...
