rad Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Here is our office, I am on my desk with my back touching the wall, we have 4 of us in here. Wall art going up this week though :-) @BKGarry That to me looks like our Exclusion room for naughty kids.
BKGarry Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 @rad this was the only way we could fit 4 people in, with me going back into the techie office. I have now decorated it with some posters, some from xkcd and some chuck Norris ones. It allows us all to interact with people when they come to the door, with no one person's back to them.
Edu-IT Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 4 of us in the main bit - 2 in the bit to the right back of the picture Why two Macs on one desk or is that an Apple monitor?
Stuclark Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Why two Macs on one desk or is that an Apple monitor? That's our Mac technician's desk - one Mac (with second monitor) is his admin machine; the smaller Mac is his test / dev machine. On the windows side of our network, I have an entire 42U rack dedicated to our test lab 1
BKGarry Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Oh I can only wish, I work on an iMac all day long (although mostly in windows running on Virtual box) but always have edugeek open in safari on another desktop. No dual monitors as then I would just not have any desk space. I have the mac to setup and manage the iPads we have, while there is an Xserve upstairs in our rack. Oh to have a dedicated test lab. I also have to look at a lot of the mac issues we have as well, so knowing my way around the OS perfectly is of great advantage, 1
Duckstein Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Mine is here: There is a lot more stuff in here now, as these were taken 18 or more months ago when we were still moving in! 1
Joanne Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I think the most important thing for any IT Support office is storage. I've got a set of filing cabinets, 2 under desk sets of drawers and a little under desk unit that has plastic trays and boxes on it. Keeps things tidy that way. I also have a massive whiteboard on my wall for writing things on, like loans, jobs to do, wish lists, doodles.... 1

Dkeen94 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) Here is mine! Two of us share this office, normally its tidier i promise.... (It has TWO Windows aswell ) Edited March 6, 2015 by Dkeen94 1
sparkeh Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Sure that I have mentioned this before but my office used to be a toilet and still has frosted windows. Unfortunately the installers put them in the wrong way so people can see in better than I can see out... 3
smithson83 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) We had a new building a few years back. In the old one my office WAS a toilet, actually one cubicle (old brick built one with proper a proper door, but still). If I was in there doing something on the server it was very uncomfortable if someone was using the facilities at the same time, I used to just leave and go back. My New office is V Nice, I did tidy up before Christmas honest. I also have two windows and the server room is just next door. I think my self very lucky as I only have share it with Bob the iPad robot, he's fairly quiet most of the time. Edited March 6, 2015 by smithson83 1
