craigcamacho Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Hi, The school I am currently at are soon to be leaving managed service and the ICT is being moved in house. At the moment the ICT tech support consists of 2 members of staff who share an office with the ICT teaching staff in an office that's relatively small. There is talk of tech support getting their own dedicated office so if possible can you guys post pictures of your office so we can get an idea of what a typical tech support office looks like please. 1
elsiegee40 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Cubby hole behind the photocopier at the top of two flights of stairs with no room to swing a cat... I jest not 1

Roberto Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 can you guys post pictures of your office so we can get an idea of what a typical tech support office looks like please. This is our office, view from my desk (there's another 'pod' of desks to my right, just out of shot) 1
simonhayes Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 This is our office, view from my desk (there's another 'pod' of desks to my right, just out of shot) Blimey, if I had an office that big it would have been taken off me and made into a classroom by now. 1
craigcamacho Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Wow Roberto that's a pretty decent sized office. How many share that room and are they all ICT support or do you have to share it with other depts?

Norphy Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Wow Roberto that's a pretty decent sized office. How many share that room and are they all ICT support or do you have to share it with other depts? There are nine of us who live in that space that Roberto photographed and there are another three departments that live behind him. 1
Roberto Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Yes, in fairness I should have explained what @Norphy just did - our space is big because we have a team of support people and a team of programmers all working in that space. 1
BKGarry Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Here is our office, I am on my desk with my back touching the wall, we have 4 of us in here. Wall art going up this week though :-) Edited March 4, 2015 by BKGarry 1

Shadow_Walker Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Here's my messy place! At least you have a window 1
jmcdermott Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 OK I will share. Office for 2 but on my own at the moment.
GeekyPete Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Some nice offices out there. Good to see mine's not the only tidy one. Privacy matter prevent me from posting mine. There are one or two that look a little on the small side. It's worth checking you have enough space. Each person has to have 11 cubic metres of space as a minimum

Each person has to have 11 cubic metres of space as a minimum That space requirement is all very well, but in Victorian buildings with very high ceilings, the average broom cupboard doesn't fall far short of that volume
