LiamH Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I'm looking to buy the next thing up from my Condor Cruiser should be your next logical step, if you are working on missile skills a Caracal, or if you are trying hybrids a Moa. I have no industrial skills on my main, but can fly everything subcap apart from ducktape and scaffold Minmatar hulls. Looking forward to the caldari T3 destroyer since everyone is running around in svipul's right now.

Garacesh Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 ducktape and scaffold Minmatar hulls Oi! Just 'cause our ships look like someone dragged a magnet through a scrapyard doesn't mean you get to mock them xP
localzuk Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Oi! Just 'cause our ships look like someone dragged a magnet through a scrapyard doesn't mean you get to mock them xP Especially when they whiz up to you at high speed and blast you to bits.
Garacesh Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Especially when they whiz up to you at high speed and blast you to bits. ... Bits falling off as you come out of warp and crashing through other ships still count as torpedoes, right?
localzuk Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 ... Bits falling off as you come out of warp and crashing through other ships still count as torpedoes, right? Absolutely! Are they in pieces too? That's all that matters...
sonofsanta Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I always figured that's why Minmatar had autocannons as weaponry... they were just tubes to fire the bits that had fallen off. Minmatar ammo is actually made up of the screws left over once you've taken something apart and put it back together again. True story.
halbaradkenafin Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I should stop reading this thread, it's tempting to me to resub (again) but I know if I do then I won't actually play much and would end up queueing up a big list of skills to cover me for the next year or two (damn BS 5 taking over a month each).

Minmatar: Laptop Repair Specialists. No need to pay us! We just scrimp a little ammo from each repair. Dooo itttt
CAM Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Personally I liked the little T1 Scout Frigate the Minmatar had. It looked like a yacht.
Garacesh Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Which, the Probe? I always liked the Rifter, myself, but I'm flying* a Thrasher right now. * Or will be, when I resub.
Arreks Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Which, the Probe? I always liked the Rifter, myself, but I'm flying* a Thrasher right now. * Or will be, when I resub. Ew, Minmatar!
LiamH Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I normally fly caldari ships, the new designs look a lot nicer. the condor/crow/raptor model is really nice now, flying crows a lot.
CAM Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Which, the Probe? I always liked the Rifter, myself, but I'm flying* a Thrasher right now. * Or will be, when I resub. Yeah think it's Probe. I used to kit it out with scanning stuff and go looking for anything curious. Downside, it was unarmed to skimp on cost/power so couldn't do much.
halbaradkenafin Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I'd like to say I fly whatever is most effective for the job I'm doing but that's rarely the case, I usually fly the ship which looks nicest while doing the job I want to do or which would be more interesting to fly.
Garacesh Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Ew, Minmatar! I will end you. I've played Minny both times round. Tribal punks.. IN SPACE! Yeah think it's Probe. I used to kit it out with scanning stuff and go looking for anything curious. Downside, it was unarmed to skimp on cost/power so couldn't do much. Silver lining: Replaced quicker (and with less effort) thank you can blink.
localzuk Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 My usual choice has always been Gallente. However, I then cross trained to Caldari.
halbaradkenafin Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 My usual choice has always been Gallente. However, I then cross trained to Caldari. Just wait till you cross train to Amarr and Minmatar. FLY ALL OF THE THINGS!
sonofsanta Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Amarr and Gallente crosstrained was clearly the most fun. Both armour tanking projectile ships, you only really need to dual-spec the specific weapons and hulls, they're both more fun to play than bloomin' missile Caldari, and most importantly of all, both look bloody gorgeous Plus rainbows:
LiamHaith Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Missiles aren't a choice, they're a way of life. Why fight something when you could lose - when you could turn them into Minmitar ships before they even get into targetting range?
Garacesh Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Plus rainbows: Not even the mighty GAYROLLER can escape the 'in SPACE!!' trope..
sonofsanta Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Why fight something when you could lose - when you could turn them into Minmitar ships before they even get into targetting range? Aurora crystal Apocs would like a word. Well, they would, if they hadn't already melted you from 250km away. Sniping is boring anyway. T2 pulse laser + Scorch any day of the week

Sniping is the way forward, and the way back.. and any other way - because you will never escape the missiles!
