We had instajump waypoints set up for the route, but I just stuck on Autopilot and kept an eye on it whilst I did.. whatever else I was doing at the time. I forget. Anyway, I got completely ganked by gate campers on the journey back after dropping everything off for the corp. Only then did I realise how much of a boob I'd been and how easily I could have lost several billion ISK worth of skills.. Well if I ever lose anything I always go back to this story and then I don't feel so bad.

The assets window is your friend, especially when you start moving around more. I once spent a weekend tidying up stuff I had scattered across high sec, although I think I did the same process at least once a year as I inevitably went on random wanders to try stuff out and then didn't go back for the piles of gear I'd accumulated everywhere.

I though the ~40 or so plex was a bad loss when that happened (a few days or so after the change to plex to make them moveable as i recall) but 1500 is a lot of money.

No PLEX was looted as they where destroyed when the ship blew up. --doh, beaten too it--

Plenty of people do it to top up wallets rather than grind isk. Most people just do the maths that if they can make £17 (or whatever plex price is now) in less time than they'd make the equivalent amount of isk then it's worth doing. There aren't many activities you can do that would make you that much isk in 2-3 hours so it's usually a good trade. Back when it was around 450mil per plex it was closer due to factional warfare making buckets of isk and incursions being close behind.

Worst case you blow a few hundred million and wish you hadn't and have only lost out in a few hours work in the real world. Or you grind for a lot more time and make that money in game and potentially make similar mistakes and lose all that time it took to grind the isk. Either way you'll learn a lot about the game and rule 1 of eve, it just depends on how much your willing to invest to learn that lesson.

I can definitely make £16.99 quicker than I can make 870million I make around 800k an hour, if I'm lucky with my mining haha. EDIT: After purchase where do I collect it from? Not sure what the going prices are like in the starting areas but they can differ greatly Also looks extremely close at what price you're selling it for, lots of people get scammed out of plex Edited June 1, 2015 by Domo

halbaradkenafin Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Important guideline that applies to basically every ship of battle cruiser size or bigger (other than maybe the drake) is to make sure you've got your support skills sorted to 4s and 5s and preferably T2 tank mods because missions will wreck you other wise and you won't get to see the potential for the ship.
