kaphc Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Hehe, I bet they do! I approached the stand last year with a cheery hello to be met with a doubtful "are you an Edugeeker?". Fortunately either you or witch were there to vouch for me :-) I must've been wearing the wrong perfume that day lol!!

witch Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Hehe, I bet they do! I approached the stand last year with a cheery hello to be met with a doubtful "are you an Edugeeker?"! I demand to know who would say such a thing! Anyway, we are "edugeeks" aren't we?
fiza Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 How about having a secret handshake to identify Edugeekers who come to the stand? 1
m25man Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I was told that Exertis MicroP are giving away 1 x Linx Tablet to anyone who has a stand at BETT this year. Clever exhibitors will be able to claim one via their account manager for free then hopefully offer/raffle them out to visitors so expect to see a few of these being offered as prizes.
Scotbynature Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 So excited about Bett this year. I think it just getting out of school for a day that is doing it. been given a list of things to look at from the bursar and a "promise" that we are going to be investing in some if the ideas that I bring back next year. We'll wait to see that one. I just want my pinbadge and a lanyard, haha.
TechSupp Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 So excited about Bett this year. I think it just getting out of school for a day that is doing it. You mean there are other reasons for going! 😱😱😱😱 2
X-13 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 You mean there are other reasons for going! 😱😱😱😱 Nah, that's just what we tell SLT. 2
MattDLEA Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I approached the stand the other year and got intimidated by the collective knowledge of you so ran off and looked at frog lol 1
sted Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 The yellow ones were so cool. Unfortunately after a couple of years we couldn't get yellow ones anywhere for some strange reason. Very weird. damn i wanted to be able to colour code my lanyard with my car lol
Zoom7000 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Is there any chance future lanyards could be made slightly longer in length and maybe thinner in width? The width isn't too bad, but I've always found the EduGeek one slightly short. I don't wanna complain too much about a freebie, but just thought I'd make the suggestion.
rickjames Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I have a blue lanyard, but never ever need to use it.
Scotbynature Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 You mean there are other reasons for going! Of course there are, the main one being to finally meet all my fellow edugeekers, at least the ones who will be there on Friday!!!!
Joanne Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I might possibly be the only person on edugeek who doesn't have a lanyard!

I just want a purple one, TBH. I have a blue lanyard, but never ever need to use it. I have multiple blue ones, and one it every day.
rickjames Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 If the school had a need for ID cards etc to be worn around then I would, but other than that? Nah. I could also do with some toolkit type stuff, at Spiceworld in Austin a few years ago I got a plethora of stuff when I checked into the hotel, couldn't fit in my suitcase to take home!
X-13 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) I might possibly be the only person on edugeek who doesn't have a lanyard! The LAN yard is where networks go when they retire, right? It's like when pets to off to live on the farm... That's a thing that actually happens, right? Le EDIT: There was going to be a teary anime face here... but APPARENTLY "sad anime face" is a filterable image search. Thanks, Obama RM. Edited January 15, 2015 by X-13 3

First one doesn't exist. [i don't think it uploaded properly.] Second one is filtered. 1
Joanne Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I overid the filter earlier... nothing dodgy came up though.
elsiegee40 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I approached the stand the other year and got intimidated by the collective knowledge of you so ran off and looked at frog lol @MattDLEA At my first BETT, I did the same... approached and then ran away after speaking about two words to someone (Ric I think). Be braver this year; it's worth it

Be braver this year; it's worth it My first BETT [the last Olympia one] was "Are you a member on EduGeek? Sign the poster! ...YOU'RE X-13?!" Then I wandered off. 1

Collect another this year and make a rainbow daisy chain I might possibly be the only person on edugeek who doesn't have a lanyard! Don't worry, you'll have oodles - and sore fingers from unpicking the knots on those rubbish bits of string they give out with the pass.
Zoom7000 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Collect another this year and make a rainbow daisy chain Better still, get my daughter to make me a loom band lanyard!
Tesla Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) My first BETT [the last Olympia one] was "Are you a member on EduGeek? Sign the poster! ...YOU'RE X-13?!" Then I wandered off. Was that an "OMG, THAT'S @X-13!" or an "ohhhhh, that's @X-13..." Edited January 15, 2015 by Tesla
