Hehe, I bet they do! I approached the stand last year with a cheery hello to be met with a doubtful "are you an Edugeeker?". Fortunately either you or witch were there to vouch for me :-) I must've been wearing the wrong perfume that day lol!!

I demand to know who would say such a thing! Anyway, we are "edugeeks" aren't we? :)

I was told that Exertis MicroP are giving away 1 x Linx Tablet to anyone who has a stand at BETT this year.

Clever exhibitors will be able to claim one via their account manager for free then hopefully offer/raffle them out to visitors so expect to see a few of these being offered as prizes.

So excited about Bett this year. I think it just getting out of school for a day that is doing it. been given a list of things to look at from the bursar and a "promise" that we are going to be investing in some if the ideas that I bring back next year. We'll wait to see that one. I just want my pinbadge and a lanyard, haha.

The yellow ones were so cool. Unfortunately after a couple of years we couldn't get yellow ones anywhere for some strange reason.

Very weird.

damn i wanted to be able to colour code my lanyard with my car lol

Is there any chance future lanyards could be made slightly longer in length and maybe thinner in width? The width isn't too bad, but I've always found the EduGeek one slightly short. I don't wanna complain too much about a freebie, but just thought I'd make the suggestion.

I just want a purple one, TBH.

I have a blue lanyard, but never ever need to use it.

I have multiple blue ones, and one it every day.

If the school had a need for ID cards etc to be worn around then I would, but other than that? Nah.

I could also do with some toolkit type stuff, at Spiceworld in Austin a few years ago I got a plethora of stuff when I checked into the hotel, couldn't fit in my suitcase to take home!

I might possibly be the only person on edugeek who doesn't have a lanyard!

The LAN yard is where networks go when they retire, right?

It's like when pets to off to live on the farm... That's a thing that actually happens, right?

Le EDIT: There was going to be a teary anime face here... but APPARENTLY "sad anime face" is a filterable image search. Thanks, Obama RM.

I approached the stand the other year and got intimidated by the collective knowledge of you so ran off and looked at frog lol

@MattDLEA At my first BETT, I did the same... approached and then ran away after speaking about two words to someone (Ric I think). Be braver this year; it's worth it :)

My first BETT [the last Olympia one] was "Are you a member on EduGeek? Sign the poster! ...YOU'RE X-13?!"

Then I wandered off.

Collect another this year and make a rainbow daisy chain ;)

Don't worry, you'll have oodles - and sore fingers from unpicking the knots on those rubbish bits of string they give out with the pass.

Was that an "OMG, THAT'S @X-13!" or an "ohhhhh, that's @X-13..."
