Can you just seriously go up to the stands and just take things that are free, or do you have to have an hour conversation with the people for them to give you a freebie!!? How does it work.

 

You can do either.

 

It's all about the confidence.

 

And it depends on how much of a blagger you are.

It's polite to at least stop and have a conversation with the attendant on the stand. Stops them feeling like an automated freebie teller.

When I went before (3 years ago) there was this stand that was giving away free footballs so I just walked up to them

Me - "can I have a football"

Them - "sure"

Me "Thanks" walks off.

 

Btw I don't like football was just a cool freebie

Take your partner who was in a fairly low cut top who went up to every stand with anything decent to give away and used the line "my boss has bet me £5 that I can't blag a (whatever item we wanted) from you" and points at me. You would be amazed what we came away with!!! And not once did I get my badge scanned

I'm not sure what is worse... That my boss brought me back some @VeryPC socks, that I think they're fantastic or that my boss knows me well enough to know that I'd love them...

The headphones from Canvas VLE came in handy on the train home. Very PC socks are great as are the gloves from SIMS. Although 2simple seemed to think that their keyring with a trolley token attached was the must have freebie. I'm not so sure.
