Photographers of Edugeek - Show us yer stuff

A Water Rail, taken at the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss on Saturday. It's the first one I've ever seen and these birds are increadibly secretive and hard to spot as they are small, well camoflaged and like to live and hunt in dense reed beds and vegitation.

Not the best quality image either as I had to focus manually on it from a distance in low light and it wouldn't stay still!

Good to see the squirrels there have worked out the "squirrel proof" feeders. The ones in my parents garden have done that too!

Yes, you can allegedly get bird feeders which are shaped such that squirrels can't eat from them. My parents got one for their garden as they thought the squirrels were scaring off some of the birds. It took the squirrels a bit of time to work out, but they realised they could hang upside down from the pole at the top and still reach the food. I mentioned it because of the shot of the upside-down squirrel on the feeder.

I can't say I'm a big fan of Drone shots (probably because I don't have one! ) I've seen some really good images taken with them though. I think the drones main strength lies in video. A lot of landscape photographers\vloggers are using them to good effect.

alan-d -Ido agree and have much better video footage - I'm not into photography really just like gadgets and flying drones,I like the photos as they give a sense of the height it flies at - will bow out of this thread now and wait for f "Drone flyers of Edugeek - show us your stuff"
