Time to blaspheme - having re-watched the film recently - they are way, way, way over rated. The original was quite pants when you go back and look at it objectively. Classic 70's? The Godfather I+II Alien Clockwork Orange Rocky Horror Picture Show One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest The Omen Papillon Logan's Run - possibly? (just as cheesy as Star Wars and Planet of the Apes really) Enter the Dragon The Poseidon Adventure Death Race 2000 (I'm going to have to allow Star Wars and The Exorcist at this rate) Westworld Convoy The Man Who Would Be King ^My pic's from IMDBs 200 most popular 70's movies.
