I can't get any good pics, but I have the following

 

a hammer (useful for banging nails, clips etc),

an axe (yes, an axe)...the wedge shape has been brilliant for holding open gaps for flat cabling.

a screw driver set of varying sizes.

a torx screwdriver set of varying sizes.

lighter fluid for printer issues

paper clips

blank cds/dvds

plier sets from needle nose to full grip

laptop for walking around testing wifi

WD40 and other lubricants (for fiddly issues)/

mini fridge for my drink and food

a bookshelf full of documentation

drive cloner

drive caddy

Will do what I can tomorrow for you. Lighter fluid is locked away with the site agent type chap for the company, and used only on request due to its volatility.

Currently my favourite tool is... a lightswitch (no photo as you all know what they look like).

 

Explanation: Over the summer I discovered that our new hall projector wouldn't operate when the lights were on (there is a light directly in front of the sensor that seems to interfere). So now its fun to watch people jabbing the remote control at the projector and frowning. We swoop in and offer to help whilst the teacher gets on with 'something more important', quickly whip the lights off, turn projector on, hit the lights again. When the teacher returns I inform that I just hit the on button and it came on... then return to watch them jabbing the remote at the projector to turn it off again.

 

We will tell them... eventually

Interesting. The remote for our Bose radio at home doesn't work when the light is on either. I figured it was interference from the low energy bulb.

We have used a car jack to lift a server cabinet full of servers as a "heavy duty" caster had exploded due to the weight!

 

I woudl have a picture except it was my old cars jack so technically it wouldn't be the jack in question. I once use the jack to fix a door frame too while at university, though we had broke it first as well!

The one thing that I am never without is a clothes peg. Handy for clipping things together without breaking them, marking a lead or something that I need to find quickly when working... and back in the olden days for holding the choke out on my mini!

Clear silicone bathroom sealant is a useful tool here.

 

I fixed some glockenspiels with it a while back - the rubber the the chimes rested on had perished away to nothing and it was going to be silly money for the small amount I needed. So I used a thick bead of silicone sealant wiggled round the locating posts instead.

 

Ok not an orchestra level repair but for some youngish kids to go plinky-plonky on them it was a perfect almost zero cost solution

As I'm such a clutz with sharp things (and blunt things, smooth things and anything else in fact), my technician bought me this for Xmas a couple of years back... Since then, I've only injured myself a couple of times (it can't protect me from a falling server, for example).

OK so here is my totes essential invention tool thing.

 

Firstly, we have the ever essential screw driver for obvious reasons (keeping small children away).

Secondly, if you are touched by one of the small children, we have some alcohol hand cleanser. In dire times can also be taken orally to calm the nerves.

Thirdly, a handy blu-tac man, holding the ever useful PDT (pokey down thing) aka a paperclip.

Fourthly, post it notes and a pen, so you can stick passwords to things onto computers.

Fifthly, an iPad mini, which acts as a handy tray to carry the tools around with.

Due to spending the better part of the last 3 years travelling, becoming quite adept at having a complete travel set of PC equipment and accessories, small, light, retractable, foldable, multi-purpose... a pic of my extended self coming up...

Light-bulb stress ball - useful for thinking and de-stressing - a dual purpose tool!

 

Window winder - removed from all the windows in the ICT suites to prevent people opening windows when Air-Con is on and trying to cool the field down! But useful when the AC fails to be able to prevent the room overheating!

My favourite tool has got to be a pot of nail varnish. Comes in really handy for identifying netbooks / iPads for different use with different software or numbering class equipment. I use Clarins nail varnish as well so it's good stuff :-)

Oh this is a pretty good tool, since I started walking round the school holding this and scowling my work load has dropped dramatically.
