Harry1980 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Hi, I was wondering is there any way of printing to a network printer without having to buy an app? We have a Ricoh and sharp multi-function printer (print, copy, scanner), these are not wireless printers. Thanks in advance.

Some of these are AirPrint capable and depending on model firmware can be upgraded on them to make them AirPrint compatiable. Failing that there is some software you can install to make devices visable to iPad's.

MatthewL Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 There is Presto or the one use in the corporate world is EveryonePrint. PaperCut is more a web portal for BYOD where as EOP (EveryonePrint) integrates alot better. What model Sharp is is just out of curiosity?

This ipad isnt on any network The ipad will need to be connected wirelessly to the same network that the printer is on. The xprintserver looks a good option but obviously has a higher cost attached. witch Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 It's OK - apparently a firmware update will enable airprint on the Toshiba networked photocopier - it didnt mention it on the website but we have a great rep who can fix most things Sigh of relief
dany2010 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Ricoh have their own free app now. The downside of apps is that it doesnt add the printer intothe printer list in safari so you have to save as a image or document and load that file in the app. 1
Oaktech Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Our Sharp and Konica MFD units allow you to email things to the printer and then select it from the mailbox on the device and print. Also, we are able to submit .doc .xls .pdf and most image formats on the printer web interface.

gds64 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Sharpdesk Mobile supports quite a few Sharp models, the only requirement being that the mobile device is connected to the same network. The MFD doesn't have to support Airprint, so you should be able to print from, and scan to Apple or Android devices.
