To be fair, that simply sounds like an unreachable IP address. It's unlikely that the printer has crashed.
-
From what I've seen, you need to apply the patches to both server and client, or it will introduce the printer connection issues described above. https://msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide/vulnerability/CVE-2021-36958

It sounds like you want to use the unathenticated printing feature: https://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/UnauthenticatedPrinting

Is there ever going to be a fix for the print management error?
gds64 replied to Sheridan's topic in Windows 10
It's just fixed mine, well spotted. -
Assuming that you're using Follow You / Me printing, you'll need to enable the "find me printing" option and specify the output queue on the device within PaperCut MF.
-
On the print server, add the printer using the option for the Equitrac port type, and follow the prompts. That will also add the printer to Equitrac system manager.

Do the user codes already exist on the Ricoh?
-
Do you have any network asset management applications that may be running a scan? I've seen something similar before.
-
Are you using the integrated scanning option within PaperCut, or just using PaperCut to provide user email details?

OK, so what happens if you print to the older machine using the driver for the newer? The older driver may not play well with Server 2019.
-
Have you tried disabling your antivirus application on the print server (as a test)?

I'd heard that AIT were no longer trading. You should be able to get support from support(at)pcounter.com though.

Papercut Script - allow specific user to print specfic filenames only
gds64 replied to LeightonJames's topic in Scripts
How about setting the user (in PaperCut) to be an unauthenticated user, enable "Print account selection" with standard account selection as the selected option, but then only enable "Allow user to perform printing as another user "? Run the PaperCut client on the laptops and it'll force the user to login with their own Windows account each time they submit a job. Would that do what you need? -
Hi Matt, I'm sure that they'll be referring to the deployment of the virtual queue which would be your responsibility. Assuming that you're getting PaperCut and the hardware from the same supplier, then I'd expect them to be doing the installation and configuration of PaperCut to match your requirements.
