Took delivery of my first supplier-branded mug today :D

Didn't even have to give them my e-mail, so I won't be in receipt of the usual spam that comes with it :o

(Maybe they'll send me some by post, just so I don't feel left out..)

Complementary single-user license copy of their full software package with it, too. That's nice :D

It's not official until you spend half an hour explaining to a member of staff why VPN doesn't connect when you are in school because they keep on asking "Why?"

Pfft. Child's play. Already had to do that because we got a fair few iPads in for some of the staff a while ago.

More VDI than VPN, but we don't use VPN's at all. So close enough :D

I'd feel guilty having a VeryPC mug. We ordered eval units off them but ended up going with Stone instead as they were smaller and felt more robust.

Good thing I don't have the purchasing power, else I'm sure suppliers might prey on my guilt and ship me lots of mugs ;)

@X-13 BETT freebies only count if you have fought your way onto a crowded train with 8 bags of goodies just to sort out at home while your cat is climbing in the bags trying to eat all the stress balls :-)

I'm trying quite hard to be a VeryPC customer, I've got quote after quote off them and none of them has got past the purse strings yet!

You are all Wrong... You know you are an IT Technician when You are Accepted and Feared by the Technology.

You know you have acheived this when you turn up to fix somthing and the user says... "Oh... Look it's working now. It didn't do that for me!"

Smile to yourself and say "I know, I'm a techie it knows better".

... and then gets its own back by telling you to "contact your system administrator" for no reason whatsoever

I think I took the last edugeek travel mug at BETT...

Had the joy of seeing a teacher have a little rant about people using her mugs while sipping from my RM mug in the staff room last week. Who knew she was qualified?

Well of course she is. Who else to better give a lecture on mug-stealing than a mug-thief?

Do-as-I-say, not do-as-I-do.

After nearly 2 years of borrowing cups at work last week I receive one from a supplier* had a coffee in it left it in the broom cupboard sorry server room with my apple in it. To find that it has disappeared when I have got in today.

* one cup in 3 years

I was using a cup from home until I got my shiny colourful Serif mug. My cup is now back in my kitchen at home where it belongs.

One cup in about 2 years and 3 months, and I had to phone up and get a goodie bag for that :p

Was that what it was for? I dunno, I didn't go to BETT

It had free software in it, and I am in somewhat of a requirement of a movie editor and web designer. Figured might as well claim it.
