The North-o-Meter

A bit of fun, but surprisingly accurate...

I got 60% North (Doncaster ish) despite having lived in Kent longer than anywhere else. It pinpoints my spiritual home of Yorkshire where I spent the majority of my youth.

Mr gee40 got 30% (Oxford) which isn't so far out North-South wise for a Beds/Bucks youth

37%, Oxford for me too! Strange given that I'm now at my most 'Northern' living point at Colchester, having been Surrey born and expatriated to Essex. However, as my mother was from Worcestershire and I still have lots of family connections there.

25% puts me in Lunnon. I blame my parents for dragging me that far norf. My father is Scouse, my mother was Geordie; didn't really stand a chance, did I? (If I'd been born any further south, I'd be French)

10% here, somewhere around Bournemouth. So that's even more Southern than I actually am! Maybe I should start worrying..

Also, what was that jibberish within the first two questions? Something about sin bins and ducks and hats?

100% Northern. bang on :)

@tom_newton. You find something wrong with chips and gravy? Hand yourself in for re-education immediately!

Oh, and if you are from overseas or south of the M25 here is a picture of chips and gravy:

Words cannot describe how nice it is.

35% - Oxford. But I'm from Middlesbrough. It goes Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Newcastle, Scotland! TBF most of the questions/words are Southern to me.

95% - its just thechips and gravy that keeps me from 100%, it's a vile concept.

i answered no to that and got 100% (Newcastle) im from Doncaster bit live on leeds these days. gravy is something to tolerate not like personally i prefer covering chips in hp and grated cheese

0% for me! I think it's because I put that I prefer Pear Cider to Mild or Bitter. Oh well...

Embarrassing considering that my name is North.

Somewhere around London for me which is correct as I come from 20 miles NW of the place

I have lived in the south since college though - Southampton, Brighton, Hastings and Poole (with a brief foray to Milton Keynes where I found mrwITch)

If I hadnt sung "Ilkley Moor" as a child I might have come out more southern
