Question that saw on LifeHacker and as I am putting together my new memory stick (every so often go through it and start again ).

 

So thought would ask it here what is on your usb memory stick aka the essential apps etc.

DOS boot files alongside memtest86+, several Dell BIOS updates, the DOS ghost client and NDIS2 drivers for network cards including Broadcom, Intel and Realtek.

 

I also have Windows NIC drivers for the same, wireless card drivers, a copy of Netstumbler and lots of micellaneous rubbish :)

Everything that allows me to do my job - from BIOS updates to whole images. Every malware scanner known to man. Virus updates. Netstumber. File recovery programs. Tons of batch files and vbs stuff. My CV. Pictures of my last holiday. Incriminating photos of colleagues (mainly drunk at parties). Podcasts. All me website files.

Mines the same as everyone else, with an added program of office 2007 portable. No install needed, runs from the USB and gets you unstuck if the PC has no Word

Hi Deano where did you get your copy of MS Office 2007 Portable? One of my colleagues downloaded it from a reputable looking site but I think he got a virus and a trojan for his money as well!

Can you pm links between yourselfs etc as there is legality issue here that could get site into trouble :) well would if it a portable one that I have seen :)

Sorry going reposting this message as first one was was string of words that made no sense. Sorry very tied and I am doing sims upgrade.

 

@Techguy

 

Don't worry we just saying now so we don't have to edit posts later on.

 

As if it comes from certain source then more than just office on there and don't fancy all problems associated with it.

I don't keep a key with stuff on like that, as the programs are updated too often. So I just pop them on when I need them, and most things can just be downloaded at the time anyway.

 

I mainly use my key for quickly transferring files between computers, but even then that is quite rare. The network areas do that job quite well.

Currently: Word Documents, Powerpoints, a highly edited Mp3 and the key for the wireless in a text document :D

 

The contents of the stick change depending on need!

cool unfortunately i can't read italian (at least i think thats what it is) is there and english version?:)

 

Drop-down box on the right sidebar that says Lingua: italiano :p
