Fize Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 New to SIMS! This is probably something simple but here goes anyway. Is there a way to protect pre-entered marks from being overwritten by staff when taking their register? Thanks
3s-gtech Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 From our experience, the only effective method is with a clue-bat and an attendance officer who goes mental when their marks are changed. Don't think there's a lockout ability though.
PhilNeal Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I'm pretty sure they are protected already.
DMcCoy Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I believe they are always editable, even when protected because if the student is present, you have to be able to mark them as such!
Sylv3r Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 As default they are locked, but theres nothing stopping the staff clicking the padlock (can't remember what the exact terminology is) and over writing the marks. Which you would want them to do if a student is marked as absent but then arrives and you need to go in and change the mark to a late code.
