Currently got a beard but don't let it grow for more than week/10 days before shaving and starting again, generally.

 

Of all the things worse than ironing shirts, shaving is probably the one.

I'm an NM and I don't have a beard, I did have one for a while back when I was a tech though but a new girlfriend saw that off!

I cant grow a beard at all, it looks ginger when I do (although im blonde/brown hair) also quite patchy so I generally keep it trimmed to stubble. I dont like the laughs and sniggers when I try lol!

It is requested that we are cleanly shaven during term time. During the holidays I leave my stubble for as long as I can cope with it, I need to find some decent clippers that can give me an even 3 days growth all the time

Bearded here - I'm too slow in the mornings to get up, let alone shave, and the wife disliked the in between stage. Now I have 2 young uns I think it would traumatize them to remove (and I like the insulation effects it has )

I both collect and use vintage shaving stuff (brushes and razors) so, believe it or not, shaving is now a hobby rather than a chore.

I had a Frank Zappa moustache, without the beardy bit on the chin for just over 35 years, before I shaved it off just last Easter holiday. Now I'm clean-shaven every other day. When I turned 30, I bought a cut-throat razor off a stall in Camden Passage Market (which is the one used to be in Islington, just for the easily-confused). I used it twice before I lost my bottle and put it away in my Stuff Box.

I have to have designer stubble (if you must call it that - there's very little design in mine). If I'm clean shaven, I still look fourteen.

 

If I ever cut my hair short again I would probably go clean shaven, but with my long floppy girly hair I need something to balance my face out.

@Netman, @bossman and my other friend whose name on here I can't remember!!!! (snc?stc? @sbc I think) are all network managers and do not have beards. Don't think @Oaktech does either.

I've had a beard and 'tache since I was old enough to grow facial hair, apart from one stupid moment aged 23 when I went clean shaven and regretted it immediately. it was cold, I looked about 12 and I reallised what a massive dimple I had in my chin when I was a bit fatter!

 

Basically I have super sensitive skin and my face can only cope with the actual razor about once a month. I keep the goatee fairly short with scissors and my tache gets trimmed every couple of days as I hate hair on my lip, but the rest of my face gets left until it gets itchy, then it gets razored with a cut throat and soap, which gives me the best quality and least irritation!
