Just rolled out Yealink T23G phones on 3CX hosted by Spitfire. It's half term and only a few users in but we are finding when you instigate a call you can hear your own voice back as a faint echo. The other party does not hear it. Anyone know what the issue could be? The phone system is on its own VLAN. Thanks

We run side by side windows 10 and 7. You should use WMI filters to keep your OUs as they are and use WMI filters to apply gpos to only windows 10 or only windows 7.

If staff have LGfL email accounts then why are they using personal ones? It doesn't make sense.

If they all have LGfL email accounts then they should be using those for communication. LGfL also now do G Suite accounts so no excuses really. I would prevent forwarding of any kind to stop emails going to personal accounts.

Haven't tested with students on Chromebooks. Set Mobility print to authenticate per job. Logged into the Chromebook and opened a Google Doc. Used CTRL-P to bring up the print dialogue. Chose the published printer with the "P" next to it. Papercut box popped up for authentication. Typed in the details. On a PC opened the client at "papercutserver:9191/client" but no jobs showing. Only jobs I printed earlier using the PC.

For staff it is the popup as they use shared accounts. For students it's personal accounts. Will try again tomorrow with your suggestions.

Has anyone set up Mobility printing for use with managed Chromebooks? I have the Mobility Printing Server setup. I have published a printer and I have installed the mobility Print App on the Chromebook. I can select the correct printer on the Chromebook and send a job. The Mobility Printing Server shows that it has processed a job but Papercut Server doesnt show anything and the print job never gets printed. Any ideas please?

We have user accounts specifically used for exams. We allocate a specific account to a particular student for the duration of the exam season. When it's all over we clear the home drive and it's ready for the next user.

I had a quick search but couldnt find anything relevant. The Edge Policies in Group policy Windows 10 (1809) seem quite light on the ground. I need to prevent users from using edge to browse file shares. I have blocked this in IE and in Chrome but dont know how to in Edge. Anyone able to help please?

Support is good. The product is good, so much easier to do things than with Cunninghams Impact software. We didn't transition to their newer software. We have also bought into the Biostore registration system and we use it with 6th form.

Go with LGfL for broadband and get your telephony from someone else. That is what we did.

We moved from Cunninghams to Biostore a while ago. No regrets.

Just signed up to hosted 3cx with Spitfire. Phones delivered yesterday. Too early obviously to say good or bad but like the way it works.

Which Room Booking System are you talking about? I didn't think SIMS had a Room Booking System built in.

We don't control the Firewall. Provided by ISP.

Ok so I have an HP Core Layer 3 switch. The Data network goes through this and out to the internet through our ISP Router. Now we have VoIP and the provider has given us their own Router so that Voice Traffic goes out separately. I have set up a voice VLAN on our Core switch and told the Edge Switches about it. Normally for a VLAN I would give it an IP on the Core and add in an IP Helper (I have different scopes for different VLANS). The Default Gateway would be our ISP Router. For the VoIP I need the VoIP Router to dish out the DHCP addresses to phones on the same VLAN. How do I do it to point traffic from the Voice VLAN to the new Router? The new Router has been configured with an internal IP on the same voice VLAN. I tried putting the VoIP Router address into the Layer 3 Switch under VLANS but it gets rejected and puts the ISP Router address back in. Any ideas please? Hopefully I have explained this properly!!
