  1. Hello, PM the contents of the [RunEmulator.settings.xml] file and I'll see what I can do.
  2. Either .NET Framework 4 isn't installed or the .msi and .exe files are blocked because they were downloaded. Right-click->Properties->Unblock.
  3. If you're running a recent server version, the original hardware support plugins provided with the update and linked to in the documentation, won't work any more. Also, MLS doesn't have a link to download the new version on their Downloads page. Hardware Plugin version 2 is available here: [http://supportfiles.microlib.co.uk/ieplugin.exe] Once installed: Run [MLS.Biometric.Config.exe] in [Program Files\Micro Librarian Systems\MLS Hardware Support\Bin\] Click on the [Operation Mode] tab. Change Mode to [Remote] and fill in the server details. Click [save] Hope that helps
  4. Seems to be: http://www.serifautoupdate.com/VersionCheck.asmx?wsdl
  5. I have a patch to get this working on 64 bit Windows 7 if you're interested.
  6. You could try changing none to 255 This will create a log file in the user's Temp folder.

    C# getting started

    Maybe something like... System.Drawing.ImageConverter converter = new System.Drawing.ImageConverter(); byte[] bytes_image = Convert.FromBase64String(xml_image_string); object object_image = converter.ConvertFrom(bytes_image);
  8. If it's an RM CC4 Office Package, then it's probably using RM's MAK key. In which case you can use that key to activate clients using Microsoft's Volume Activation Management Tool.
  9. Digital... VHS
  10. Yes. And the last time they tried remote support, they broke it and left it like that.
  11. It's fairly flexible, there's an install.exe for install via script, there's also an .msi The launcher can even be configured to copy the emulator data file from a network location for updates.
  12. Feel free to try my little AppInventor Launcher: AXE's MIT AppInventor Launcher - Updated - Blogs - EduGeek.net There's a tool in there to help with emulator updating.
  13. If you want to turn everything off, safe mode, startup repair, advanced boot options, etc: bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu false bcdedit /set {default} advancedoptions false bcdedit /set {default} bootstatuspolicy IgnoreAllFailures bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled false bcdedit /deletevalue {default} recoverysequence
  14. Yes, it's a problem. And no, it's never been resolved.
  15. AXE's MIT AppInventor Launcher. - New version, much more configurable. It's available to download from: http://rnfxportal.com/MIT_App_Inventor_V2_Launcher.zip Try it out. Suggestions welcome. Main benefits: - Launcher with two big buttons, 'Open Website' and 'Run Emulator' - No command prompts. - One window for the emulator, all extras are hidden. - Config is reset each time. No pin codes, wallpapers, deleted shortcuts, etc. - Included in the package is a client app update tool for the emulator, which can be used to update the package when the android client app updates. Common issues: - Users need write access to the \Working Folder. This defaults to Program Files\AppInventor\Working. - AppInventor runs a local web service on 127.0.0.1, this can sometimes be blocked by firewall or proxy config. New: There are many config options in [RunEmulator.settings.xml]. You can now... Change the launcher mode: device\emulator Change the destination URL when clicking the 'Connect to Website' button. Change the browser used to open the URL. Override the check for supported browsers. Specify the path to the template [Appinventor-emulator-data] file. This allows for a central update source. Customised layouts etc. Specify the emulators working folder. This is where the emulator reads\writes data when running. Users will need write access to this folder. Specify the path to the folder where the users SD card image will be stored. Users will need write access to this folder. Use a template for the users SD card image. For course resources etc. Setting for delete and recreate the users SD card image when emulator starts. Set the proxy server address in the emulator. Change the timezone in the emulator. AXE
  16. Disable the 'check for certificate revocation' options in Internet Explorer?
  17. Looks like the database is either empty, or doesn't contain an important table. Is it a new server install? Is there a /forcescope switch in the installer?
  18. Anyone want to join my new revolutionary army?... That'll learn 'em.

    RAW Filesystem

I'd try a check disk first...
  20. Ok, you could check if [aistarter.exe] is running, it's the part which handles communication between the browser and the emulator. When you connect to the emulator, the browser just checks the response from: http://127.0.0.1:8004/echeck/ You can see the response by opening that url in a browser.
  21. Usually that's proxy or firewall config blocking access to 127.0.0.1.
  22. OK, It's likely to be either no write access to the [program files\appinventor\working] folder, or a missing [Appinventor-emulator-data] file in the [updated] folder in the imported package. Hope that helps.
  23. I have a solution that many schools are using: AXE's MIT AppInventor V2 Package - Updated for v2.3 - Blogs - EduGeek.net You might want to check it out for yourself.
  24. No. Constant headache.
  25. Have you installed the latest version of the AppInventor Tools? http://appinv.us/aisetup_windows
