You'd need guest logins and then setup the hub is a way to lock it all down. We might not still. As we have Arbor we can give personalised information and then use the website to generalised. It would just be nice as we use Sharepoint heavily with the staff and students.

We use arbor which has a parents part in that parents can log into and see timetables etc We plan to have a parent portal in sharepoint. Teams is also releasing parent app this year which will show a lot of details to parents

We've done this around 2 years ago. We found it was far easier to manually take the resources and add into new pages on Sharepoint. We do have a dedicated staff member who just works on this area. It was a good renewal process for us as we could update sections as we went. We were surprised at how many sections were out of date! I would say its is transferable but its a time consuming task. If you want a carbon copy then I'm not sure if there is an easy way to do it.

Does anyone one know a good detection rule i can use for this for Intune? Installs to local user so i'm struggling to find a file it can look at to confirm its installed EDIT - I'm being dumb its C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Programs\PauseToScreen\launcher.exe

I think I've got the what we've done part sorted. Since 2018 we're moved everything cloud and moved all kids to 1 to 1 computing with training as we go. I think my problem is now I've achieved it my future plan is to just keep it going lol not much of a plan. As JNfarmer said once i've outlined the history, the why and the what we have now i should be up to a good amount of quantity. Guess i need to work on the what next. I've got to write a digital strategy I hate this type of stuff, i prefer powershell writing I know what we do etc I'm just not sure where to start. We're a secondary using O365, serverless and have 1 to 1 computing with all students. Any tips or pointers to help me get going would be fantastic. Do i need to write out our journey we've already been on ie moving to serverless and 1 on 1 computing or should i skip and just go through what we do now.

We have teams and use it for all subjects. I think my problem is I'm stuck in the past lol Any guides or key words i need to search and research would be great. I've had a look in a few teams where assignments have been used and have found the student work areas. I guess what i don't know is how the teachers and students need to use this function to work on big projects. I under stand a basic homework or lesson based assignment. For example in this case its around building a basic website. The kids are making the website on Dreamweaver and creating the design docs etc. They're saving and working from their OneDrive. I need to figure out how to change their current practice so they're using teams to work on the project live and not personal OneDrive space.

Computer science need to get access to the student OneDrives so they can track and mark coursework. My current idea is to just make a guide for students to follow where they share their computer science folder with the teachers. The Teachers can then go back to the folder probably for the rest of that students time at the school. I'm just wondering if there is a better way anyone knows of before we go off getting 175 e-mails with onedrive links in. I had a thought i could script to allow the allstaff or all teaching groups to have access to the general folder for all students. Then i thought maybe MS EDU had already implemented something i'm just not aware of. We are completely cloud based so there is no file server to utilise.

The federation logs the users in as the other account based on the federated credentials. so, we are Azure AD. If you go to a site and select login using a google account. When you enter your e-mail account it will push you through to Azure for your credentials. Using your credentials, you are then logged in as your google account not your Azure account. The google account links to the azure account. When set up correctly you can configure the Azure account to automatically create the Google account for you. Your users don't need to know the Google details It works the other way round with google being your main platform. If you click log in with MS on a site and enter your e-mail it will push you to Google sign in to sign in which logs you in with the linked Azure account. You can again configure Google to make the Azure account for you automatically based on your google account details

I've got this setup the other way. We're Azure based but use Google for Chromebooks. I believe you need to make sure your google domain and azure domain match. I asked on the Google chat / helpdesk and they sent me the right guides i needed.

At the moment we have iPads for KS3 and Chromebooks for KS4 and 5. We're looking at ipads for KS4 but need to keep coursework in mind. Everything is managed in Intune except chrome obviously has to go through Google admin Happy to help. Drop me a message with your e-mail. I'm in Birmingham

Thanks, my current core switch is about 8 years old if not more. I had a little look and its DHCP function is rubbish. We're getting a new school built starting Feb which will have new switches in so i'll defer until then. I'll just tell people i'm serverless in the meantime when in secret i have a server running DHCP I'll have a look at the VMs. In theory i only need them running when we have an exam or maybe just during the school day

Canon Uniflow is very good the only downside is you have go with Canon directly

I've moved serverless over the last 3 years. We have 1 to 1 for all year groups with intune managing it all, teams and Sharepoint managing the staff data. I'm just looking at A5 licensing for AV stuff as we have Sophos and for a teams-based phone system. Any advice on where to move DHCP, mines still on the AD server we don't use anymore? Any advice on cloud-based servers to run stuff that can't be clouded? for example we have a business studies exam thing and an OCR thing runs off a server setup. I was going to just get a well specced nuc or something to run it off. Is a cloud server on Azure worth it? We're using Pebble for serverless catering system Canon uniflow for printing is also really good and worth a look. Arbor is fantastic

Hi, we're using GL assessments for year group assessments. At the end of the assessment GL assessments generates a pdf for each student which we can bulk download. Is there a good way to e-mail these assessment results to each student? We're trying to not print them out basically. Is a straightforward mail merge the best method or is there a better way? If mail merge is the best way do it, can any of you provide help or pointers to get the right file attached to the right e-mail? Thanks
