I'm about half way through the Guardians of the Galaxy game which released a little while ago now and I'm loving every second of it. Doesn't seem to get mentioned or praised that much but I'm having a blast. The writing of the Guardians is superb, managing to capture the spirit and humour of the movies, without seeming like a blatant copy job. Finding myself preferring this take on the characters over the movie versions - theres something about the style of writing and flowing conversations during gameplay which just works so well. Gameplay, story and graphics are all up to standard but the characters are where its at for this game. Highly recommend to anyone who is into anything vaguely Marvel - plus its part of Gamepass

I've been running it on my tech laptop since previews and haven't had many issues regrading compatibility with our current application setup. As a few have stated, it's practically Windows 10 with an 'improved' look and feel. Looking to begin deployment towards the end of this year. We've got a classroom PC refresh coming up so hardware shouldn't be an issue. I think the biggest hurdle will be staff having to get to grips with the 'minor' differences, such as the abomination which is now the right click menu in file explorer...

I'd think variety would be best? DVD, SD Card and a USB memory stick. One of them should last...

Primary here so will be a little different but... Never really had any issues with our 3 shared laptop trolleys in the 10 years I've been here. Our classes generally get the laptops out a few minutes before needing them to deal with the Windows updates - as someone said above, good specs are key. Even our weakest machines are all minimum of i3s with 256gb SSDs and 8GB RAM. I would hate to run any of the DFE spec'd machines for daily classroom use. Regarding the shutdown issues, I bit the bullet and just set them to shutdown when the lid is closed, which also helps with the Windows updates. I expected it to cause issues with lost work, but I can't recall it ever being an issue. I do count myself quite lucky here as almost all of our staff understand the importance of looking after our equipment, so our trolleys are returned with the majority, if not all, plugged in and on charge.

Used to get an issue similar to this quite a bit on our old iPad 2s Required a little bit of 'percussive' maintenance. Lay flat on the table and forcefully hit the back with a large book. I believe it was down to the display cable becoming slightly loose so this knocked it back into place. Take care if you attempt this, I never damaged an iPad doing this but always felt like it could've. Good idea to let the staff member know if you plan on doing this.

I believe the best machine to administer a Windows domain...is a MacOS device. My daily driver at work is an iMac and couldn't think of a machine better for the task. The remote desktop app alone is miles ahead of the Windows counterpart and the feature set of the Preview app always comes in use. Give them a chance

It's been a couple of years but last time I had to raise VPP credit I went via one of our suppliers. They provided us a quote and credited the amount to the VPP. All they required was the VPP email address. I assume it's the same method now but uses the Apple School Manager account address.

I would put it through its paces by answering the all important question "Can it run Crysis?"

UniFi site here - we've used both their AP's and network switches for a good number of years now and can't complain. All managed via a Cloud Key Gen 2. Will probably stick with them when the time comes to upgrade.
