Anyone know anything about Coffee Cup web site software. One of our teachers has been using it at home and is raving about it and wanting me to set it up in school. Their offer of Free looks great but I was wondering if anyone has any useful feed back before we sign up?

Why are they for sale and presuming they are still covered would the warranty be transferable?

Th BBC Web is carrying this BBC News - BT Openzone wi-fi network closing to O2 customers Just to think 02 was BTs mobile which got sold off to Telefonica. Not sure what the implications of this are but will it mean we no longer have to suffer those 'soppy' adverts on TV

No one else experiencing this problem it seems? These printers weren't cheap, were great to set up even had the toner cartridges preinstalled, connected to the network and have a seemingly useful web based homepage - problems with that one if you move away from the default user settings it seems. However, the main problem remains this refusal to print some PDF files - which subsequently stall the machines. A right PITA and I'm now wishing we stuck with the HPs we had before.

In my experience this is another example of the superb support that comes with Impero. I haven't encountered a problem yet that they weren't able to either talk me through or more often the case remote in and sort.

Cracking link as well. my only question / concern now though is from my memory the Athletics Club I co-founded had a very useful website hosted for 'free' by MS on Live but with very little warning we and other 'free' users were told the Service was going to stop and we ended up with no other option than to get a new site built elsewhere. Thankfully the hugely helpful @stevehill06 of this Parish came to our rescue on that one.

We are a school in the SWGfL area currently looking at migrating our Easymail to MS Office 365. Is there a cost on licensing with the MS Software or is it something already covered by our Select Agreement? Anyone who has made the move in our area who could give us a few pointers that would be very welcome.

Had this plus found Apple TV unreliable in use. We have now shelved the 3 sets we bought and bought in AirServer - Most advanced AirPlay receiver for Mac and PC at a fraction of the cost. Easy to set up and the teachers love it. Not sure what use we are going to find now fore the HDMI / VGA converters and Apple TVs though

Hopefully not considered off topic but we use the Mac Mini Server - it does the job well and I feel it gives the IT crew a bit more added control over the kit; you get the opportunity to remove anything iffy when the iPads are in for update etc. in addition though, and you probably already have this covered, I'd highly recommend AirServer - Most advanced AirPlay receiver for Mac and PC for SmartBoard interaction. We were struggling with Apple TVs which by the time you buy the HDMI to VGA adapter runs out at something like £200 a set up. Air Server on the other hand works a treat at a fraction of the cost.

Sounds a bit like the Golf advert! I haven't heard of anything. SIMS is an incredibly complex set of software - hence the price I reckon. I don't think anyone has developed anything similar for free? l

No one able to share any thoughts on this one then. Seems a very strange issue - identical machines sitting each side of this beastie show the home folder and it's permissions fine and all docs are accessible. I just can't see any difference on this machine yet it comes up with these greyed out xs on my documents and as said earlier won't display security settings for the home folder at all? All other drives are fine as is Internet access.

With this one I logged on with another admin account and ran delprof2. Logged back on with my usual account and first the proxy setting had not been picked up so I added that manually. Restarted and found that Internet access was ok and permissions for shared drives and folders was ok but for my home drive not security permission setting was available and yet again the folders had greyed out xs against them and wouldn't open.

SmartBoart projectors supply on request a cleaning kit for theirs - it's a little bellows thing that slots in - I'd have thought compressed air was more effective but their kit is their recommendation.

Interesting to note that increasingly us IT galls and guys are working unsocial hours to get tasks like this done. I'm just back from a very heavily used classroom that I desperately needed to check the kit in and run various updates. Found some little eek had nicked a decent graphics card out of one of the machines as well - why on earth none of the staff bothered to mention this to me bewilders me. Apologies for taking the thread off topic!

Strange one here. Three identical Windows 7 64 bit Clients (HP Z210s) two show my documents correctly the third all but my 2013 folder show but all docs and folders have greyed out crosses over them and won't open? Clicking on them it seems like a permission issue but I have full network permissions so I'm thinking it's some setting local to the affected workstation?

We have a Windows Server 2008 Standard Domain with a mix of XP Pro and Windows 7 Clients. Printer allocation is by a mix of Group Policy (for the Win 7 clients) and a printer vbs. Problem is on boot up something is running that kills all existing printers on most clients and they end up with just the default photocopiers as the only listed printers. The students can find and connect to the classroom printers when it comes to printing but next log on they have dropped off again?

I have ended up going for the Air Server as it works - PERFECTLY and we have all the licences we need (13 PC and 1 MAC) for well under £50! Fabulous. Having spend over something like £750 for 3 ATVs with HDMI to VGA converters and found the flipping things at best unreliable I just wish I'd discovered the Air Server before. Not sure what to do with those ATV rigs now?
