If you have an issue with trying to get rid of used projector lamps can i suggest Simply Lamps? Even if you don't purchase from them they will collect your used bulbs free of charge. I haven't used them yet but plan on doing so very soon. I called and sorted out what i need to do but not got round to it yet

One thing you need to be aware of maybe is that when you own half an house,if like my contract with the Hosing assoc. you have to get permissions to make any changes to the house. Anything that changes either the structure or interior needs permission. Now this makes it awkward to actually change anything that you don't like about your new property that you have just spent a fair amount on buying. This to me has ben the biggest downside. Also apparently when you want to purchase the remainder of the share you also have to have it re-valued to.

I do like Hp Kit myself and am currently looking at their procurve offerings. There's quite a bit to take in though... As far as i am aware the SFP modules are already in?? or are the cables that go into the ports the actual modules? I am basing this on what i know about some pro-curves i used to work with and they used to have 2 blanking plates where you took off the plates and installed a receiver and transmitter and then connected them together using a cable. Am i getting confused? I just installed them i didn't buy them. no idea what they were The ports? Yeah 250 ports across more than one switch. We have a total of around 250 ports for devices/hosts and currently only have 2 of the cisco switches srw2048 with 48 ports in each minus the uplinked ports of course. I will see if i can find out more about these cisco/linksys switches i.e. the backplane throughput and such.

We are having a new school built and so the money that we have as part of the build will be used to either purchase additional switches to go with the ones that we already have or if it makes more sense to go with a modular system like a core switch then to do that instead. Obviously it depends on how much the modules are that go into it. This is a primary School and so i am very aware that once this money runs out there may be no more scope to develop the Infrastructure at this pace in the future.

The switches aren't to practice on. I need these for the school i work at. The college where i am studying my CCNA have all the kit i can use to practice on. I will break theirs instead of my own. I have downloaded packet tracer and also dynamips although i couldn't get them to work successfully on os x.

How can i check the backplane throughput? Sorry but i know very little about networking hardware, although i am doing my best to learn and find things out. At the moment we have two of the cisco switches, which seem to cope reasonably well although i would like to get the best for the money. Is there any other type of switch that you would recommend that would blow these out the water? I would be interested in a core switch if the price is right and it has enough capacity to provide up to 250 ports. It will also need to able to support PoE for a later data as well as VoIP (which i think needs QoS support). The SFP modules are built-in and share the ports with ports 23/24 and 47/48, or am i missing what you are saying. I'm definitely showing my crap knowledge of ICT networking today

I think you may also need to restart the web service after enabling the extension if needed.

In the php.ini there should be an extensions section. In this section there is a long list of all the extensions php can use. most if not all are commented out. MySQL needs to be uncommented by removing the semi colon from the front of the line that reads ;mysql.dll i think it is. I may be barking up the wrong tree entirely though as it has been years since i did this stuff on a Windows box. You may also need to make sure that the extension is indeed there.

what does php info say about the MySQl installation? It may be commented out in the php.ini

Can you not migrate the contract to an iPhone contract? I'm sure that that is an option. IIRC it used to be. They were going on about it on their website when the new one was being released as far as i can remember.

What i think needs to be done is perhaps a more used iTunes platform. No i don't mean iTunes itself. I mean something like it. BUT, instead of the Artists using Labels (why in this day and age are they signing up with labels anyway???) they sign up to a central library. Let me try and explain a little clearer. Apple (in this example could be anyone) creates their own label, but instead of all the crap the labels give and the cut they take which is huge i think, Apple could use the same basic deal they use on their app store. This then allows artists to have a location to air their songs/movies and also a method of marketing, maybe through TV ads etc and then it also allows the unknowns to have their music/movies aired at the same time. They remove all of the cost for marketing/advertising (to some extent) and it is automatically made digital. Then it would remove the need for these labels and so they are screwed. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Yeah, unfortunately there is no deltacopy for OS X Maybe something else that is similar. Does anyone know if arSync can do what i need? I've had a look but it doesn't do remote rsyncing. I would like to use this ability further on down the line. I do think that learning rsync could be the best method overall. Just not sure where to start. Just looking at the man pages at the moment to get to grips with what each bit means.

Yep. macs can handle wpa(PSK)2 (I use it at home) fine. Although there may be a problem with the hardware compatibility but if it works after the repair then that may not be the case. What problem does it find on the Internet connection?
