Hi, we are currently using Learning NI which is very slow and not the best laid out, but we were considering Moodle, but the against about Moodle was that it has almost too many options and might confuse the staff not comfortable with IT. We did however investigate Studywiz which look very nice, based on Moodle and they host and set it up externally, so less hassle for the school to set-up. Hope this helps,

Hi, I work mainly for the languages department at my school and I have been using a Coomber 6031 over a period of time to convert tapes to cds, then importing them as mp3s on computer and uploading to our servers and also our websites and streaming them. We also use Sandisk sansa mp3 players to enable pupils to listen back to them in class, at home, or for exams: http://regmedia.co.uk/2006/09/11/sandisk_sansa_m230.jpg though these are about £70 each, so not the cheapest, there is a newer variation on it for about £18: Buy SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player 1GB with FM Radio (Black) SDMX11R-1024K-E70 £17.89 - Oyyy.co.uk this might be cheaper than buying ipod shuffles and less fashionable, so hopefully less likely to be 1/2 inched Though this all depends on whether you have time beforehand to do all this:bolt: Hope this helps

Hi, been using Macs and PCs for years, and I had Norton Antivirus for Mac, but as it caused major conflicts with my audio recording set-up I had to uninstall it. Currently don't use anything, simply as there is a distinct lack of legitimate AV software for Mac around, though I hope the developers get onto it soon, as it's only a matter of time before the mighty Mac is brought to it's knees with viruses:eek:

Invested in a wii, eh? admittedly they're not as graphically appealing as a PS3 or XBox, but there are some better games coming out for it. I recently aced Secret Files: Tungusku, which is a good old point and click style adventure game for mutli-players I would recommend Ravin Rabbids: TV Party for something multi-player and more gorey go for House of the Dead: Overkill, very easy but great fun Also check out Madworld it looks very good and there's a new Castlevania beat-em-up coming out soon just don't get alone in the dark, it is riddled with bugs, rumour has it that it wasn't tested before being converted from Xbox to wii Enjoy the gaming!
