Hi all Just a quickie! Has anyone ever come across the problem where, you block access to system32 for kids in explorer, but when they change an icon (they have to, apparently!) they can gain access to the system32 folder? has anyone managed to block that? Can I change the default icon location where it looks to first? Ta, rh91uk

Try this script that I have used (attatched) which I use sometimes to patch remote machines. You'll need to add machines you want to deploy to a group - I use STRCCWorkstations (schoolname, workstation). You can add command line parameters too after you have specified the install file - Installing IE7 Silently is Simple… | So Joe... should help you. Hope it works! (it does here! ). Another note - if you have windows firewall on you need to make sure WMI is allowed as an exception - you can do it via GPO - but that's for another time...! rh91uk Patch remote PCs.vbs

MLS only sell one kind of barcode scanner. It's not really very good (our librarian hated it!). As Soulfish said, we got ours off insight. If you contact your account manager (Laura Smith did ours) - she will take the scanner and get it programmed for you. This was done for us free of charge and then sent back. Very helpful.

Try event viewer? See if any scripts are bombing out there, reporting problems? that's what I did when we were having a similar problem

lack of space on the C drive? lack of space, possibly, writing the exchange transaction logs? that was the issue here.

We had this problem ... was down to permissions and ownership on folders. Have a look at them for individual users next time you have a problem.

Smoothwall is great (we are yet to have ours fully set up) and we will be moving to it. Meanwhile here we have Securus and Safetynet (LEA provided Safetynet) running together. Securus is great for this kind of thing.

Hi all I am enroling my students in courses, but when they click on the courses they get the following: http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/1345/bio1.png Even though their profile says they are enroled in the course.
